This is a crazy story but about a year, maybe two years ago max, my family and I went to eat here on an afternoon where an armed gunman was out on Roscoe. The waitresses working that day acted quickly, courageously, and kindly as they stepped up to guide us all toward safety. We hid until the man was apprehended by the police, and honestly for a moment so out there, it showed the adaptability and awareness of the staff. I don't know their names or if they're still at...
Great service and great food. Today's server was doing a great job, memorizing orders perfectly and communicating clearly with us about the short wait time for our final to-do order, which was no issue at all and appreciated.
I had an order for take out at 1:30am. My server was just the right amount of friendly. When I walked thru the door, she immediately made me feel welcome as if I was a family member. I ordered the Grand slam burrito which I have never had before and it was great. They should have had that on the menu a long time ago. I think that one will be a classic menu item for years to come.
