I’ve been really enjoying the new Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso—I’ve ordered it three times already from two different Starbucks near where I live, and each time it was full, delicious, and exactly what I expected.
However, today I visited this location while shopping at GAP and had a very different experience. The male barista who made my drink didn’t fill it up all the way. I asked to add oat milk, which I usually do myself when oat milk is available on the counter—but this store didn’t have it out. When I asked, he told me I needed to say “extra oat milk” when ordering.
I explained that I’ve been ordering the same drink and it’s always been full, but he responded by saying something about how it’s a “shaken espresso.” His tone came off dismissive, and overall the customer service just didn’t feel welcoming.
I really love this new drink, but this location didn’t deliver the experience I’ve come to expect from Starbucks. A little consistency and better communication would go a long way
Worst customer service ever.
I love Starbucks, but the customer service can certainly improve at this location.

There are two female workers here who are really good and organized. One of them is named Crystal. She’s very friendly and always has a positive attitude. I like when these two are working because I know I won’t have to wait an excessive amount of time, especially if I ordered ahead.
When these two are not there, completely different story. They’re unorganized, don’t go in the order of orders received. I waited way too long for my complete order yesterday, so to avoid that scenario today, I only ordered a drink. No difference. Still took forever, seemed to not go according to how orders were received. They have regulars that it looks like they drop everything for and leave everyone else waiting and waiting. Today it was two male baristas. When Crystal or the other female barista are around, they wouldn’t be dropping the ball like this. These regulars seem like the type of people that have nothing to do all day, some of us stop here and then head to our jobs that’s why we mobile order so our stuff can just be grab & go.
I hate to do a grouchy review like this but something had to be said. The good and efficient service is inconsistent. I’m here every week and as mentioned before it’s the Starbucks on the way to work. However, Crystal and the other female barista make it worth coming to.

This is the only Starbucks that I come to in the valley I have cheated a few times lol (they know). But I'm always directed back here. This is the best service! Everyone is kind and friendly and they always make my drink correct. But if for some reason they're having an off day all I have to do is communicate to them and they fix it with no issue. Which is the reason why I constantly return. They definitely make me have a better day all around. I am also not from from this area and I am homeless but they always treat me with kindness and amazing customer service as they do with everyone else there's no judgment and everybody is treated equally. To the staff EVERYONE please never change a lot of businesses should be the same but I have found in my travels that they are not.
FYI I am homeless and yes my dog is with me she is an service dog and she is very vocal and people sometimes are inside working, having meetings, and there is a specific gentleman that my service dog does not like and she's very vocal about it. So not to disturb other people I do not bring her inside all the time because I usually run in there quickly to go get myself a coffee and her water and pup cup to start our day before my shift starts. If she is in my car the air is always on 😉 if it's not a hot day 72 degrees then yes, the windows are open and she has food and water and the windows are cracked appropriately to where she cannot jump out of my vehicle while I QUICKLY run inside there and grab what I need to grab. And oh heaven forbid that she is a DOG and barks...and hauls? Lol I think you meant howl. As u so put it, because she wants her pup cup. She's extremely very loved spoiled and vocal lol. Poor dog? Lol. Go to the East Valley animal shelter there's 290 "poor dogs", "hauling", barking, sad alone and are going to possibly be euthanized. I hope this clears up any confusion and everybody can mind the business that pays them so we can continue to have a friendly environment while getting our mid morning coffee 😉 Salu 💋

Honestly didn't expect such friendly and helpful service.
This location has best baristas:
Greets every single person that walks in, asked nicely how's all going, reminded kindly of all the customization options for drinks, helped solve the starbucks app glitch and so on.
Baristas are making people smile, which made me smile.
And the teamwork is great.
"Are you good on hots?" - "Have a couple, I'll catch up." - "Okay let me help you with food then".
And then they've farewelled every person remembering their name.
Awesome.

I thought the whole point of ordering on the app is so you don’t have to wait but of course we have this man Martin who probably doesn’t know the rules before getting hired was making all the other drinks ( not a mobile order )except my mobile order , waited there for 13 minutes he said there is 3 more drink before yours . Starbucks is not a place for turtles. He is rude and slow

Food jumped in price recently. I do think they are a bit ridiculously overpriced. I guess to accommodate the $20 hour minimum wage hike, thanks Gov. Newsom Communist-fornia going down the drain even more. As if our local and state taxes weren't high enough already. Anyway, the Baristas and workers at this location have always treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. Service is extremely good. Also they let you use their outlets/chargers. A lot of other Starbuck's in the area have locked/closed off their outlets because homeless and vagrants use them without actually ever buying anything. So it's definitely understandable. They have the right to refuse service(s) to anyone. It sucks for the rest of us who actually need to get work done on our devices/laptops and need to charge them. As far as I know this location still allows the use of them and that's why I keep coming back. So the atmosphere is very wonderful. Overall 5/5 stars.

Starbucks is Starbucks, great coffee but out here in California the service is so slow, it's not Starbucks fault its the workers, they just have no urgency what's so ever, and it drives me crazy!!!!!!
