I want to start off by saying I always like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt and in this case I was in regret. I ordered from this business on doordash around 2 weeks ago at around 10:30PM. I waited for my order meanwhile the door dashers kept switching I’m assuming due to the extremely long wait time over an hour. At around midnight, the restaurant canceled my order. Mind you, I had already spent all this time waiting for the order and the most doordash could do was issue a refund and free priority delivery on next order. This resulted in my dinner arriving closer to 1:30AM that night as I had to reorder from another business that was open at those hours. I felt that doordash might have had played a role in this experience so I decided to try again and order directly from this business for pickup. I ordered at 8:59pm with an estimated wait time of 17 minutes and 3 minutes after placing the order the establishment delayed my order by 30 minutes. I proceeded to arrive a few minutes after the 9:47pm updated pickup time only to be told it would be another 15-20 minutes. I proceeded to run an errand close by meanwhile I waited and even after 20 minutes passed the food was still not ready. The lady packing the orders did offer free drinks for the wait which I appreciate, and we also noticed the cook was extremely overwhelmed with the food preparation which is no fault of his own. They seem to be understaffed. When arriving home, and proceeding to taste the food, I instantly noticed my fried rice was crunchy. I’ve never had rice with this extreme of a texture, And no exaggeration, it made my jaw hurt attempting to break it down. With that being said, it was definitely overcooked and burnt. We also ordered medium cooked steak and it was also overdone, we got filet and it was carne asada texture. Overall, it was a very bad experience especially coming from someone who has early days, it is extremely inconvenient to wait over an hour and a half for food pickup. On top of the wait time, the food quality was horrible. Again, the cook seemed to be doing his best with the amount of orders he was handling but for $80, this was not an acceptable situation and I think anyone in my shoes would agree. I’ve attached pictures of the food quality. Coming from someone who has previously had hibachi, I can’t say I’d recommend this business.

So although I’m local I never tried this truck until I seen it advertised on tik tok and they ran a promotional sale buy 2 bowls for 25.00 included 2 drinks great deal as it sounds like right. Well when I went on 11/16 to order there was no veggies or no more drinks . The lady Wendy was kind to offer a free chicken bowl on my next visit because I was hesitant if I should wait to order I like my veggies lol. Any how I ordered well when I received my order the portion size was not what I expected I got more rice then actual protein like really if I wanted rice bowl I would have ordered just rice. I decided later during the week let me reach out to see if I can claim my bowl no answer after multiple tries ( phone rang but they didn’t pick it up ) as I’m sitting in my car and there was nobody there but a couple So I ordered another bowl ( online) to give them an opportunity to fix the experience I get off to shoe her my order and show the young girl working that I was here to claim my free chicken bowl too because of the issue I had as a first time customer. She said ok let me tell the cook I waited for my order for 1 hr I received my order and guess what NO VEGGIES!! I told her why is there no veggies she said because the text said only chicken bowl we don’t it veggies on it ?? Like wait what?? At this point I’m irritated she’s not understanding the simple text I showed her so then they decided they will give me veggies but I have to wait because the cook as 30 orders he needs to prep !!! Like you can’t just cook the veggies while I’m in front of the truck mind you nobody was there they really were rude the cook can’t handle his job then he needs a sidekick to heal him out. Overall I will no longer support this truck again !!!! I’ll stick to Bachi Yaki in paramount I guess you never supposed to cheat

I didn’t want to come to make a bad review & is the first time I make a bad review to a food place , this is the second time I order my food & have multiple complaints . 1. I seen this place from TikTok & decided to make an order I go and the lady tells me it will take 5-10 minutes to be ready , odd but said okay , after every 7-10 minutes I kept going back to check & it was not ready it took 35 minutes to get my order , my husband got off the car to check on it again & he just told me this today that while he was waiting for the food he seen the lady who took our order pack am order which thankfully wasn’t ours , he said he saw a veggie fall out on the counter & saw the women put it back in the plate & lick her finger . And she wasn’t wearing any gloves . 2. Second time I went it rained & they were only taking cash customers offering to pay with Zelle or any other way she declined but was refusing to even answer some questions people were outside waiting for was bit of rude . 3. Today I ubered my order because I didn’t want to wait and make sure they weren’t only taking cash . I found a hair in my food & it was a females hair it was found as soon as I opened my plate . The chicken also was semi raw . It was white with a lot of seasoning , I’m very disappointed this time , I have my food safety handling certificate and I don’t think that lady should have one or be touching the food without gloves . I paid +$50 for the buy 1 get 1 free shrimp & chicken plate , also to see I didn’t even get a refund or any veggies in my order

One of thee best hibachi spots in LA I’ve been eating hibachi for a while and nothing compares to the way they make their fried rice they also have noodles which is pretty good not a lot of hibachi trucks have noodles, all in all great service and their sauces are so good I try save them for another meal!

Tried the cheeseburger at Smashd by Gilly’s, and it honestly hit the spot! The patty was juicy and seasoned well, with just the right amount of char👌 The cheese was melted perfectly, and the bun was flavorful🤤 would highly recommend if your around the area !

This Hibachi House deserves no stars at all. If there were an option for zero stars, I would choose that. I placed a DoorDash order on June 3rd at approximately 11:30 PM from their new location at 8327 Gardendale St. in Downey, CA, specifically ordering the Filet Mignon Plate. I received a tray containing a small amount of dry beef, hard and dry white rice (I know my rice, especially as someone from an Asian background), and no vegetables. For $30, this was an unacceptable meal that wasn't fresh, and they didn't bother to call me to let me know if they had run out of vegetables. As a loyal DoorDash member, I received a full refund after raising my complaint.
This was only my second order this year, and I can confidently say it will be my last. I attempted to contact the number listed on DoorDash for this food truck, but all my calls went to voicemail. If you are the owner, I urge you to contact me directly to understand how you operate your business. I will not trust or recommend this establishment to anyone--this is not a serious hibachi experience.
Horrible. Rice was dry and food was not that great. We ordered well-done steak and it was raw in the middle. We will never order here again.
