Ça c'est bon!!! Just found this spot and Oh man! The food was so good! We got the fried chicken, greens and Mac dinner, and the Shrimp Po'boy and fries. Let me tell y'al these were heaping portions, there was so much shrimp on the Po'boy and the fried chicken plate was a whole half a chicken fried to perfection and the flavor brought me back home to Gonzales, Louisiana! The staff were so nice and welcoming, thanks so much y'all! I did forget to grab my pecan pie but I can imagine it was just as delicious and I'll definitely be back to visit your new location!!

Yes Sirrrrr! I am back again at Parrains Soulfood. Yup I just did a review a couple of days ago and I told y'all the food is FIRE and for the folks not up on this vernacular Fire means oh oh so good! Anyways...I gave the establishment 4 stars ONLY because I wanted cornbread and they had ran out...now today only a day went by and I am merrily back...and guess what I got my cornbread not only that, I got the cornbread I didn't get on Sunday and guess what else I learned ...the cornbread is COMPLIMENTARY...I did not know that and the owner blessed me with double complimentary today...YESSSS I am a very happy camper because this cornbread is FANTASTIC! Y'all didn't hear me tho I said FANTASTIC oh my hoodness it's good ...oh how I wish I could use emojis too lol. I would give this establishment 10 stars if I could. I suggest y'all try it for yourselves. Happy eating...I did post pics of my double complimentary cornbread. Now go check out Parrain's Soulfood!

MUST STOP BY!!! By far the best soul food I have EVER received at a restaurant. Huge portions, amazing food, great service. Worth the price, worth the wait, worth all of it. If you don't live by l.a., make this a checkmark on your bucket list. You will not be disappointed. I have to hand it to my man's over that at pertains. Bless all of you guys. Your doing God's work. I'm glad I decided to try here instead of some others I could have gone to. The fried chicken, greens, Mac 'n cheese and yams tasted good, not too highly seasoned but just right and the portions were a lot. I don't eat much so there is enough for me to eat three times. Service is nice and kind, it is not fast food so be OK with waiting. Everything tasted fresh and I have no complaints. 5 stars!

Owner and cashier/ relatives are very nice and friendly! I was patient because i already was aware of the wait time( it did take a bit) however almost everything was hot and made to order. Fried chicken seasoned and cooked right ***** cabbage flavor on point...greens ok cool....oxtails tender i got 4 in my order. Mac n cheese ( maybe my fault end of day) was not a good idea. I asked for mashed potatoes in place of rice but my thought was just potato on this one added gravy so that helped. I drive alot and spent 45 min each way...if in the area i will try again!

Basura!!! Trash!!! I'm typing this review as I'm calling the restaurant! I ordered fish cabbage and red beans! I just threw my meal away!! Food was unedible !! You got ya fry old fish and serve it!!! Wtf I literally waiter on this meal that I paid 21 dollars for and couldn't eat it!!! And you guys won't answer your phone!! Shame on you!! The meal was disgusting!! I tried it for the first time and you guys lift manas a customer!!! I'm furious!! Should have went to Jack N the Box!! Shame on your establishment!! You get no starts from me! I'm truly offended

I'M DONE! There is no food outside of my own kitchen that is good enough to deserve all these challenges. We have had several issues with patronizing this location. 1. Placing an online order and waiting over an hour, called the business and their response, " We haven't turned on our tablets yet, we didn't see your order"! WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS!!!! WHEN ARE YOU OPEN... ADJUST YOUR HOURS ON SOCIAL MEDIA ETC...

My wife had a taste for greens and decided to support Parrain's Soul Food. She called in the order and they were out of short ribs, oxtail, mashed potatoes and banana pudding. We ordered what was available and when she arrived (giving ample time to prepare) the order wasn't ready. When she attempted to pay in $20's they didn't have change. The food was ok (average) but the cornbread was too hard to attempt to eat. This is our first and last time patronizing this restaurant.

Hubby and I drove and hour to buy a fish fryer. I Google restaurants in the area and found this place! When walking in I immediately started to question in my head what the food would taste like. Hubby ordered the seafood platter, I ordered the smothered pork chops greens and Mac n cheese. OMG! The food was absolutely delicious, hot, well seasoned a d enough on each of our plates to feed 2-3 people!! Stop by this black owned restaurant and support them!
