A solid all you can eat sushi spot for the money. Lots of room, but it can get pretty busy.We did the regular all you can eat but next time I’ll get the premium. Overall the sushi & food selection for AYCE is plentiful. The quality is great for all you can eat and for the price it’s worth it. You got three rounds & for premium you get also one round of their premium dishes. As compared to “Yes Sushi” back when they had AYCE, it’s just a tad below that quality. I base it off the fried squid legs which were very chewy and a few other items overall the sushi quality was great. The atmosphere is also pretty great and roomy.I took my family and we got a majority of the appetizers and sashimi, but only a handful of rolls. The roll quality was also really good.I’d definitely come back here again to get my “AYCE” sushi fix. Also if you didn’t know “AYCE” stands for “All you can eat” & I just found that out a week ago & thought it was a brand. Either way, a great spot to visit for sushi in Pasadena.

I didn't realize that Aikan sushi has more than one location. This Pasadena location is NOT the same as the Northridge in several ways.PRO:- Food seems consistently like the other location- Good tapas- Good ramen (1/2 order really IS only a half order)- AYCE sushi & tapas and also Al La Carte- Nice tapas portionsCON:- Service is hit or miss- Street parking ONLY - No parking lot?!!- Street parking is 1 hour only- 1 bathroom for male, 1 for female. That is not enough in a restaurant this size.- 2 hour limit- Frequently miss parts of the orderSUMMARY:I rather prefer the Northridge location. It's not because the food is different because it really isn't. But the lack of parking, and having to run out to the street to move your car is not convenient. Also the lack of bathrooms is not helpful. And this was coming here mid afternoon, I can only imagine when this place is busy!

4 ⭐ because a little bit of a downgrade based on my friend's review and what I thought after. Prices are fair depending on the area which includes service charges ($55 per person). Service is good but not everyone. Sushi rice is not good enough in the 2nd or 3rd round for not being sticky. I recommend Eel, salmon, and ramen which is very delicious. Would come back for AYCE after work because it is closing by.Parking: 9am-6pm 1 hour parking on East Green Street9am-9pm 1 hour parking on side street

Overall great experience. My favorites are octopus salad, rice paper sashimi wrap, takoyaki, and there are many great choices. I don’t like the heavy soy sauce on my sashimi. The vegetable ramen is way too salty.

My daughter celebrated her birthday here and we really enjoyed the food in total the service was great. The atmosphere was also really good. Its more worth it if you upgrade to all you can eat premium. I recommend bringing a jacket if you are waiting on a long line outside at night. The best time to go is at 5:45pm.

Aikan is great quality for being AYCE. Granted, this isn't Little Tokyo quality, but you are in Pasadena. My favorites include the soft shell crab and the Sunrise Roll.

I think it's the best AYCE for the price. Been to regular sushi places that are slightly more with less variety.

The food was good and fresh. The only issue is we were charged for more people than our party was but they corrected the problem. Street parking is only an hour so you have to keep an eye on the clock unless you pay to park in one of the local lots. Servers were attentive and helpful.Vegetarian options: Small selection

The table wasn't set up correctly with minimum interaction with our waiter. Ordered the ramen sushi combo with the ramen being ok. Sushi however was not rolled correctly and practically falling apart. Too little rice and uneven distribution of it combined with a loose wrap and dull knife made for an unpleasant experience.

For the best all you can eat sushi, go to Aikan Sushi. They have a couple of locations around LA but I went to the one in Pasadena for my husband's birthday. For only $5 more you can get premium items like uni, amaebi and oysters. They also have no rice rolls and sashimis if you are on a low carb diet like me! Service was great, and the restaurant was very spacious and clean. My kids loved that they had other dishes like ramen and calamari on the menu too!
