We love dining here so much that even our son looks forward to his favorite dishes (chili, filet, truffle macaroni and chocolate soufflé...in that order every single time) when we dine here. The staff is superior but our favorite person is Seth. Thank you for making us feel like family.
Sean is the best!!! Showed up a bit early and he helped get us seated quickly. Food and service is always amazing.
Always a great experience at Arroyo. From the food, to the service, to the ambiance. Highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or for anytime. A real class act in the city of Pasadena.
We were celebrating a birthday. Everything from service to food was amazing. My petite filet was the best I've had!!!
We came here for our wedding anniversary celebrating 21 years. The restaurant is a super nice steak house with bar and two big rooms for large parties or events. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful in helping you choose your best cut. The dress code is California flare. Some dress up and some come in casual. I had the Filet Mignon and my hubby had the ribeye. Both were excellent and cooked perfectly to our liking. Everything is ale cart. So we choose half order of green beans, mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes. It was a lot more food than we needed but perfect for leftovers. Since we were celebrating our Anniversary, they had a very nice card for us on arrival.
Always great food, cocktails, and service. One of my family's favorite spots for a good night out.
You get what you pay for! This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but the quality of the food, cocktails, wine, and service were all exceptional. Our server, Jose, was one of the most professional and knowledgeable server I have had in a LONG time, and his attention to detail were a stand out for me. I worked in fine dining restaurants for over 10 years, so I have a mental check-list for a full fine dining experience and Jose checked every box! Very impressed. As for the food, we had fresh oysters and the crab cake special to start and they were great. One guest had surf and turf and said everything was perfect. I had the fresh halibut special and the halibut was fantastic. And our other guest had the Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection and he said it melted in his mouth. The sides wee all good. I loved the asparagus and brussel sprouts and personally felt the lobster mac & cheese was too rich, but my guests loved it. We all had a soufflé for dessert (I had the chocolate and my guests had the Grand Marnier) and I was surprised how LARGE they were and they all were delicious! Finally, the wine list was extensive and also impressive. Although again, the wine list is NOT an inexpensive list, it mirrored the environment and the rest of the menu so to end...I was happy. My guests were happy, and I highly recommend.
Easy reservation, Pleasant welcome, placed at a Corner booth where servers pass thru frequently, server very attentive n pleasant!
My 1st visit and it was my birthday. They treated me like any other customer and paid attention to detail. I plan on returning before the end of my visit. I definitely recommend them for a party of many or of one.
Food and service were excellent. The only issue was noise; we had opening (ie 5pm) reservations on a Sunday....and it was fairly packed....and loud. Part of that was due to waitress talking a bit to the table across from us and the man guest had a very loud voice, especially to try to get over the overall noise level to continue the conversation with the waitress. We've been here a few times and we'll be back. Food is hard to beat. It's our “go to” steak house now

Arroyo Chop House remains my favorite steakhouse based on the quality of the meat, the consistency of the drinks and side dishes, and the pleasant servers and staff.
This was my first visit to this steakhouse and I will return. The service was impeccable and impressive!! Blair was an excellent server. The food and the service are worth the money.
Our server was excellent. We had reservations but seated in a corner next to bar. The filet x3 was surprisingly tough. We had Nick&Stef a week ago and the filet there was done so well it was like butter. These three filets were tough, the medium rare was too well cooked and the crispy outer part was missing. The Alaskan HalibutIt was dry. The food came to the table already too cool. On another note-The server was excellent and attentive but the vibe was off for a $500 total bill I would expect better food.
Always a great dining experience. The steak is undoubtedly top-notch, but believe it or not the sourdough bread is worth the trip alone.
Shout-out to Steph at the bar. I have known Steph for many years, across various restaurants, and she has always been a kind, funny, authentic, charming, welcoming, gregarious, fantastic, lovely, honest, charming (I think I already said that), warm, professional, knowledgeable, attentive, fascinating, hilarious, and great staff member (and person!). She is an asset to any restaurant that she is at.

Consistently great. Terrific service. We were seated next to a noisy table. Overall the noise level is high. But everyone was having a great time. A Pasadena tradition to celebrate a special occasion.
