Forty Five Bistro is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic, and the service is always warm and attentive. I've had a consistently great experience every time I've visited, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a welcoming atmosphere.

We had dinner here for a special occasion, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The food was all perfectly prepared. It's fancy without fuss.
A few things to call out:
You must get the Chocolate Soup. (You might actually want to get two so you don't have to share.)
The bacon that came with our Brussels sprouts was memorable enough to get a line to itself in this review. (I would go back just for the bacon!)
Don't pass up the specials. I had the Cod which had been caught the day before off the coast of Santa Barbara.
I'm definitely looking forward to our next visit.

Really lovely restaurant in a not too busy area of Pasadena. Service was exceptional and truly felt like fine dining. Very diverse menu of food and we enjoyed everything from the Octopus to the Hangar Steak and Pork Chop.
We threw a party for 50+ people on the heated patio. It was a wonderful event. The owner and staff could not have been nicer and more professional. The food was very tasty. It was a perfect venue for our event!

I had a wonderful dinner at Bistro 45 on Saturday. Following a starter of Little Gems salad I enjoyed the rack of lamb. The lamb was perfectly cooked and deliciously flavorful, nicely complemented by a colorful medley of vegetables and accompanied by a fine glass of Burgundy. For desert I had the extremely decadent Chocolate Soup and a Chamomile tea.
Bistro 45 is notable not just for its fine food and excellent wines, but also due to the quality of service, comfort and friendliness. The restaurant is a credit to Robert, Avery and the excellent staff. My wife and I will be back soon.
