With every new Peruvian restaurant that I go to, I just have to try their Lomo Saltado since that's my barometer for Peruvian cuisines, and Bodegon No 69 very much delivers!

The Lomo Saltado is a classic, must-try staple in Peruvian cuisine. Cooked in a wok with soy sauce (there is a lot of Chinese influence in Peruvian cuisine due to the historical Silver trade between China and Spain within Peru), the best kinds of Lomo Saltado is bursting with flavor. The Beef here is thick and hearty, and the sauce is so delicious. The fries are also nice and crisp, too. There's a reason it's one of my favorite dishes and Bodegon serves it well!

To be fair, Bodegon is a bit pricier than majority of Peruvian restaurants that I've gone to, but it also offers a few items I have not seen elsewhere. Most notably, the Anticuchos or beef heart skewers. Heart is one of those meat choices that can be polarizing because of its tougher chewy texture (it is a muscle after all), but this Anticuchos grilled meat is just tender enough and the flavor is so good, especially with their Rocoto Sauce and Patata Brava (Peruvian-style fries potatoes). Only the corn feels forgettable. It's an adventurous dish that is rewarding to your taste buds!

On the other hand, the Tiradito a La Crema Ceviches is a bit underwhelming. It's thin-sliced Hamachi and the mild Aji Amarillo sauce is just a bit polite and mild-mannered. Maybe the other Ceviches are better here.

Lastly, you can't really have Peruvian cuisine without the proper Peruvian drinks, and I highly suggest the Inka Cola and if you fancy an alcoholic drink, the delicious Pisco Sour, which is the national cocktail consisting of pisco (grape brandy), lime juice, syrup, and egg white, with bitter sprinkled up top. It may be similar to a margarita, but it is just so much tastier!

All in all, Bodegon No 69 has some delicious, albeit pricier, but delicious Peruvian cuisine. Just skip the Traditional Ceviches. The staff is wonderful and so friendly and the interior is very cozy and warm.

The best peruvian food I’ve eaten so far in the US!
We have ordered ceviche and lomo saltado, and I highly recommend both. Carlos was our server and we really enjoyed his service!

Bodegón No. 69 serves delicious Peruvian food in Pasadena. We tried the fried calamari, ceviche, and arroz con mariscos, all very good, with the arroz con mariscos being my favorite. Their pisco sours were also excellent. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating with a pleasant ambiance, and parking in the area is easy. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Even though I don’t live nearby, I’ll definitely stop by again whenever I’m in Pasadena.

It's a bit hidden between two very good restaurants Bone Kettle and Osawa but we decided to try it out. The Ceviche 69 was so perfect as an appetizer for the table and I thought the shredded chicken and rice was delicious. My wife already wants to go back for the ceviche! There was no wait and the waiter, Claudia was on point with the descriptions and service. She was funny and a delight! It's a great place if you want to nibble or if you're starving and want a robust meal. Will definitely go again soon!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is clean, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really added to the overall experience.

I ordered the pork on a stick, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and balanced, and you can tell they put care into their food. While the portion sizes were a little on the smaller side compared to the price, I think that’s part of the trade-off when dining at a quality restaurant in Pasadena that focuses on delivering a great ambiance and well-crafted dishes.

I went with a group of friends, and we all had such a good time sharing food, drinks, and conversation in such a comfortable setting. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer.

Overall, I would absolutely come back and try more of their menu. It’s a spot that combines great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service—highly recommended!

Unfortunately, this being my first visit I was extremely disappointed. Not in the ambiance or friendliness of the staff, but there being A LONG, DARK HAIR IN MY FOOD after waiting for a really long time for said food really put me off. I was the last of my party to receive my food and it was a cold dish (the B69 ceviche more specifically). To be fair we were a party of 10 , but assuming a cold dish would be the fastest to prepare I was also taken aback by how far it took to receive my dish. My dish came with a few fried calamari, which is where the long, dark hair was entangled . Within my party we did share some food so I was able to try a little of their lomo saltado and bistec, which were tasty. However, after discovering that hair it really made me lose my appetite and question the hygiene of the restaurant. They did not charge us for the meal and did offer to replace the dish , but I had to decline . I felt disgusted and paranoid that I would find another hair in the following dish so for my own peace of mind, I just decided not to eat for the remainder of our time there.

Phenomenal food. We were blown away. The ceviche and the saltada were to die for. I recommend sharing mains so you get to taste everything if you go in a group.
