Border Grill Catering

We could not be happier that we chose Border Grill to cater our wedding in Downtown LA on 10/4/2025. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish, and our guests are still raving about how incredible the food was. The plantain empanadas were truly unforgettable — easily one of the most talked-about bites of the night.

Beyond the delicious menu, the service was above and beyond. While my dress was being bustled, the staff went out of their way to make sure my husband and I didn’t miss out on appetizers, personally bringing plates to us so we could actually enjoy our own cocktail hour. It was such a thoughtful touch and meant so much.

Border Grill played a huge part in making our wedding day feel special, cared-for, and delicious. We couldn’t recommend them more!

Border Grill was one of our top wedding vendors. The food was delicious from appetizer through dessert, the tasting was flexible and had plenty of leftovers, the planning staff was easy to work with, and the day of team executed without a hitch. Extremely accommodating with allergies and other dietary restrictions. Taylor and team were amazing!

We had absolutely the best experience with Border Grill for an engagement party for our son and his fiancee. The food was delicious, fresh and so tastefully presented! Taylor was accommodating and responsive in planning, and Chelsea and her on-site team went above and beyond at the event. I would absolutely recommend Border Grill for any catered event, casual or elegant!

I think I will be recommending Border Grill to everyone and for everything for the rest of my life.Absolutely delicious food that is fun with both classic and intriguing flavor profiles. Taylor was so responsive and flexible. We had to edit our budget and guest count a few times Taylor was always ready and willing to help us find solutions that worked best for us. They also have super customizable packages for every budget.Honestly, the tasting was tremendous, the day of service and staff phenomenal ( I was never not without a fresh cocktail in my hand) and the food was so so tasty. The wedding was almost a month ago and I'm still getting compliments on the food. We are so thankful to Border Grill for helping our wedding be flawless!!!

I am writing this review wayyyy too late (a little over 2 years after my wedding) and it has been eating me away inside because I need to give Border Grill all the praise they deserve. As a wedding planner myself, I had worked with Border Grill previously and found them to be so easy to work with as well as extremely professional. They always had the absolute best food so I knew when I was getting married they were at the top of my list! My husband at the time was hesitant as he isn’t the biggest fan of Mexican food even though I explained to him several times that it's a delicious modern fusion. Once we had our tasting he was sold! Taylor was so great to work with and so flexible with all our requests. We of course had to add on the churro tots for desserts as well as late night tamales. Nothing was left from either of those stations! We did a plated dinner and our guests could not stop raving about the choices, especially the short rib, it was a huge hit!

Border Grill was our wedding caterer and we could not have asked for a better experience. They delivered on everything that was promised and much more. I would highly recommend to anyone planning an event.

Absolutely amazing experience!

This spot is really good! Their chicken soup is awesome. It takes a little long to get ur food but in my opinion it is worth it! The pupusas are also really yummy and they have cool entertainment on weekends. Nice place to relax and have yummy Salvadorian food. Would recommend.

Great food in a convenient downtown location.

One of the best restaurants in downtown LA! Great patio area to enjoy some good weather and large bar area with TVs in case you want to catch a game. Some of the best ceviche in town and delicious cocktails and beers a plenty. I've been here for happy hour, intimate dinner and with big groups and its fun every time.

Love the ceviche duo. They put on a lot of fun events in the summer out in their patio. (all you can eat, a DJ, photo booth)

i always order the ceviche, just thinking about it now makes me want to go again!
