The chorizo breakfast burrito- undercooked and the cheese tasted rancid. I had the worst stomach ache all day at work.

As a carnivore, I asked for an all beef and cheese bowl. Cheerfully accommodated me, with nearly a pound of delish machaca (shredded beef), nicely seasoned. Recommended!

This was my go to burrito place. I've lived here since 2017 and it took me a couple years to find Burrito Express. I would go there once a week for the Ross Perot - what an amazing burrito.
All was great until I saw my doctor. High blood pressure! You see, I'd go on 15-20 mile hikes on the weekend (up in the mountains all over southern CA). I thought I could eat anything I wanted, because I was burning it all off. My doctor told me otherwise. So it's been a little over a year of no pork, lard, minimal vegetable oils and deep fried foods. Well ... I've had a little here and there, but I had to cut out almost all the Mexican food.
In the past year, I think I've only had three Ross Perot's and I'm super sad! Everywhere I've lived in So Cal, I've had my go to burrito joint.
By the way, the staff here is phenomenal! Great people, friendly, caring and they make a great burrito.
I'll be by for my quarterly burrito soon. I just wish I could go back to eating one every week!
