First time in a tearoom, and we were not disappointed. Took my 16-year-old daughter and she had a blast. I did the Bridgerton experience and my daughter did the normal afternoon teatime experience. Everything from the smiles, the service the reservation process to the yummy and delightful mini sandwiches was excellent. Samuel was awesome and guided us through our time and kindly explained the menu and how it works. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean I am already planning a Mother's Day celebration for the future :)
Overall, this is a nice place, I definitely think the tables are way too squished together. I felt so bad for the people next to me when they were being seated there was absolutely no room for them to get in. They had to move the tables themselves away from the wall Just to fit in between the window and the table. Our server was very friendly in the beginning when he took our order, then we really didn't get checked on or any service for the remainder of the visit. The bread they use for the tea sandwiches is very soggy so they were kind of wilted over. But you definitely get a decent Tea service for the price you're paying.
This is a quaint little tea shop/restaurant with a quiet, cozy ambience. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered the afternoon tea and it was well presented, delicious, and very fairly priced. I should also mention the had a large and fun selection of teas.
We booked a 5:15 tea to meet up with friends before the holiday. Upon arrival the front door was locked. When the host opened the door I was told they were closing the kitchen in 15 minutes. It wasn't the fun peaceful experience we were hoping for. We were rushed to order, then rushed to eat and leave. There was no one else in the tea house. After I got my tea pot I asked for cream which the server for got to bring so I didn't get it for quite some time and feeling rushed not a good combo. Not sure why they don't update the times to book keeping this in mind.
The location is great with plenty of parking spaces. Even the paid parking is reasonable priced, right in front of the store for less than $3, covering 2 hours of parking. The service was very nice and attentive. There are many tea selections and the quality was good. Unfortunately, the food is below average. The scone was dry and hard, and the sandwiches were big but had no flavor. The sandwiches were like homemade with whatever was available in the fridge, slapped them together, then plated them on a tower rack. If there is no expectation of the food quality, it is still a good spot for a few friends to get together.
I went here for a birthday lunch. Nobody greeted us , although we had a reservation at 2:30. I walked over to the register and told them we had a reservation. They had to clean up a table for us to sit, and the gentleman left the place settings and two menus. No one came to the table to introduce themselves or tell us anything about the menu or the restaurant. It was my first time here. I ordered the afternoon tea special and the scone wasn't a scone , it was a super hard biscuit. Sandwiches were dry. We paid our bill and packed our few leftovers. We were already ready to go.Then they remembered it was a birthday and they brought out the slice of carrot cake.
We came to Chado Tea Room in Pasadena for a friend’s blog launch and had a lovely time! The setting is beautiful — cozy, charming, and perfect for an afternoon tea hangout. It does get quite busy on weekends, so definitely plan ahead.
Each of us had a tea set that came in the classic three tiers: scone on top, sandwiches in the middle, and cookies at the bottom. The salmon sandwich was our favorite — super tasty and fresh! The teas were excellent too; we had the lavender tea, which was fragrant and calming.
Service was friendly and attentive, though parking was a bit of a challenge. We ended up parking about 10 minutes away and walking over. Still, it was worth it for the experience.
A lovely spot for tea lovers and gatherings with friends! 🍵✨
My sister and I enjoyed the delicious food and great pot of tea. The server was so attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the nice atmosphere and decorations. I recommend this great place.
So much fun! Great tea, food, and service!
My experience was so sub par that it was almost shocking. We did the Halloween tea special, ended up paying $75 each. The iced tea was only 1-2oz in dirty plastic flutes from the dollar store. The tier had a flat plastic bat cut-out hastily scotch taped to the top, that fell off halfway through our time there. The sandwiches were stale horribly made, on cheap white bread. There was a plain Vons cupcake on top, with a tiny macaroon and sugar cookie. The scone was the only good part. I was hoping that the “free gift” would make up for it. I was thinking it would be a lovely little tea cup or something. It was a solid blue, thick stocky mug with lain white lettering that was a collaboration between Chado and some non profit. It looked like something they were actively trying to get rid of, like an afterthought. The entire thing was something I would maybe pay $20 for, certainly not $75. (You can see what I’m talking about from the photos) I spent years walking past this place, wanting to check it out. So disappointing.

The service was fine mediocre. I want you ordered a vegetarian panini. They use a unacceptable bread very close to a plain white bread. The vegetables were very wet and so before the sandwich was half done it fell apart onto the plate. I don't understand why they couldn't have a more appropriate bread for a panini especially with such a wet substance which they should have drained in advance. The tea seems fine. I can't speak to anything else except that there is no immediate parking
We came here on a Sunday late morning for brunch. We had a reservation placed ahead of time. Excellent service. Sam was our server and he was great. The food was good. I ordered a panini, the others in my party ordered salads and paninis. The lemon tea was delish. There were two Latino servers for the whole restaurant at the time, they were polite and knowledgeable. The staff in the kitchen is also Latino. Not sure who owns Chado but I hope they pay staff well as the staff does an excellent job of manning the floor and kitchen.
Parking is lot parking a couple blocks away. Street parking is also available. Get ready to walk a block or two.
Recommended if you want to have a nice brunch or nice tea with friends and family, or with a loved one.
Staff was extremely friendly and kind. The food was incredible as well as the tea service.
Had a lovely afternoon tea with my sister! Sam was so lovely and attentive and made the experience so delightful!
I went today and had a great time! Very peaceful and cute inside. Such great service. 10/10
