I didn't eat a lot of Indian food before meeting Jen, but she turned my whole world upside down. Bless her for bringing me into bliss with how delicious it can be. I searched in Pasadena for the best restaurant to impress her and this one right here is the winner. They understand SPICY!!! Jen loved it too!

I'm not sure why this place isn't busier than it is? Maybe it's the location but this is a great Indian restaurant. There are several around Old Town, and I think this one is the most outstanding. But it's a lot of Indian restaurants have made the portions so small and have made rice extra. The portions here are excellent the flavors are rich as Indian food should be and they don't charge for extras like rice. Even the appetizer we got, fried onion in chickpea flour, was a large portion and easily shareable. A Lamb Vindaloo was a balance spiciness with very tender lamb. The Saag dish with peas was smooth and also delicious. Plenty of space for large parties, too.

I had a horrible experience. On a Friday night, I was planning on coming here with a large group, of about 12 people. We realized they were close to closing and decided to call as we would get there 30 minutes before closing. The person who answered said it would be no problem and told us to come. We drove over and arrived right on time however they refused to seat us. They claimed that they tried to call back but I didn't get any call back from them, then when the guy went to check he realized he was calling the wrong number back. They didn't even apologize. Absolutely horrible customer service. We went to another Indian Restaurant down the street.

The Chicken 65 Biryani is to die for. If you do pickup, it is also super economical because they pack like 3 meals worth of food into one takeout container. My other favorite dishes are the Masala Dosa, Lamb Vindaloo, and Chicken Tikka Masala. I've eaten here probably around 15-20 times over the past year; dine-in, pickup, and delivery. Food quality has always been consistent. I like how you can usually get a table quickly even during peak hours (unlike many neighboring sit-down restaurants)!

The food was alright, the paneer was watery. The butter chicken was pretty good. The reason I gave a one star rating was due to the service. The server was great but we ordered non spicy noodles for our daughter and they gave a noodles with pepper. We asked if we could have one without pepper and when the waiter asked the chef the chef said no. I mean common when you spend over 100s on food, you seriously don't want to remake a dish for a kid to eat? My daughter just ate Nan the whole time and we did not want to order another noodles because we die not think it was fair. A place like this in pasadena with these price points should not be acting like a small cheap mom and pop place pinching each penny.

They lost their Tandoori chef, so no Tandoor items. Paratha was stale, we couldn't even tear it - and they charged us!!! We asked for two dishes to be brought out at the same time, my wife likes to eat them together. The Chef said no - online orders and rush (there were three tables including us eating). They come out when they come out Butter Chicken and Fish were iffy. I love being a patron of the food I grew up with, but this is a HARD PASS.

Well, i love some indian food and i know good indian food; and how you know a place is good is by either their naan or chicken tikka. Well i ordered this plus a lot more food and trust me this did not hit my craving! The chicken had no flavor; naan was so hard it was like eating crackers; I really looking forward to this meal....

This place is a great Indian spot right in downtown Pasadena. It's usually very empty - which is crazy since it's good and hit the spot. But that does make it very easy to get a table for a large group! Which is otherwise very hard to do in Pasadena. We were able to just walk in with 8 people on a Friday night. Butter Chicken ($17) - this was relatively expensive for a butter chicken, but it did come with a decent portion size. It is on the sweeter side, but I liked that. Comes with a lot of rice as well. The chicken was on the drier side, but the sauce made up for that. Bullet Naan ($4) - this was "spicy" but I think it could've been spicier. It paired well with the butter chicken. The service was attentive and friendly. The food comes out very quick (especially compared to other similar establishments in the Pasadena area). They have an extensive menu (which was strangely just stapled paper). They also accept Apple Pay (either by scanning a QR code on the receipt or going to the front and paying at the cashier).

Walked in without a reservation and got Royal treatment. Franco and Dhanu were super professional, courteous and friendly hosts. The food was par excellence - probably the among the best Indian food in Lalaland. Succulent chicken Kababs, Indian style Scechzwan noodles, Kaju paneer curry, ghee dosa, sweet mango lassi and the most delicious Bru coffee and onion pakoras. Hats off to the Chef. Tasty, good quantity and served hot and clean. A must not miss eatery in Old Town Pasadena on the corner of Raymond and Colorado. Simply Kidilan!!!!

Good food but terrible service. Nothing happened without us "flagging down" someone. No one checked to see if the food was to our liking, no one came to refill our water glasses (unless we waved them down), I asked for the nan to arrive before our meal but it was brought with the meal.

Ate at this place while visiting family in Pasadena. Let me tell you, this was so delicious! Every time we tried was good: The naan breads, the paneer, the rice cakes (I'm sorry I can't remember what they're called, Idlee or something?) The coconut chutney is the star of the show, get the big size!

Had Masala dosa and idly. Loved the dosa. Sambhar was great but chutneys stole the show. We ended up ordering and eating more than our apetite coz it was so good. Idlys were soft but could use a bit of salt in them.
