My first time here and I’ll be back for seconds (and thirds and on!) - Excellent all around! Charming, tropical decor and a warm, bold, cheerful cashier greeted my friend and I upon entering. Her first time with Venezuelan food, not mine. At the cashier’s suggestion, she ordered and was stoked on the Reina. The Domino and a capacha did me right! Flavorful, whole food-based, and enough leftover for another meal. We loved sharing the passion fruit juice too. Thank you, Chamo!!
Honest review: As a Venezuelan, in my opinion the pabellón criollo’s meat was too much like birria… the chicken in the arepa pepiada was also a little too much like a chicken egg salad instead of chicken and avocado. Everything else was pretty authentic ☺️
I had arepas and fried plantain. The arepas were delicious: the stuffing (avocado chicken salad) was fresh and not overwhelming. The bread was cooked to perfection. The condiments were spicy. The plantains were good too.
