Chao Doi Thai Restaurant

We spent a long weekend in Pasadena and at first chose this Thai place because it was just 5min walking from our rental cottage. They greeted us so friendly and accommodated our requests for items on the side. Then, the next day we came back here because everything was so flavorful! My husband had the crispy sole fish special and I enjoyed the glass noodles with shrimp. Exquisite!
We highly recommend!

I rarely leave tips with my credit card. My husband was ready to leave some cash tip but since I had paid with the credit card at the cashier, the lady came all the way from the cashier to our table to ask if I wasn’t going to leave a tip. The attitude was hilarious lol. We were going to leave a tip on the table but that behavior totally put us off. If they don’t pay you good wages or if the business is not doing well, don’t come trying to rip customers off. Food is mid. Won’t be coming back.

UPDATE: Checked my credit card statement and they gave themselves a tip! Will be reporting to the fraud department on my bank.

I went here many times and it’s amazing! I love their seafood soup and rice. It’s wonderful. The quality is amazing and i also love some of the noodles they have! their service is amazing as well, the workers give the biggest smiles and feel welcoming. And the. Atmosphere, don't even get me startedd! They recently decorated for Christmas and the tree is amazing! Amazing place and i highly recommend

I've now lived twice in the neighborhood where this business operates and was so excited to come back to it once I moved back to Pasadena. It's just as good as I remember and I keep coming back. The food is always fresh and tasty. My one complaint is that sometimes I've had to get up to ask for the check or something else I need but I'm not in a rush when I'm out to dinner so it doesn't bug me too much. Very delicious and very worth it!

We went shortly after 9:00 pm. It's great to know there's a sit-down restaurant that is open after 8-9:00 that isn't in Old Town Pasadena, easy free parking across the street. Our food was excellent. The server was very pleasant. A plus to us was that there was no background music that we had to listen to or talk over
