We tried this place for the first time and it ended up being really good. Their food was excellent. All the meats were soft and accommodating.
We highly recommend going here for chinese eat in or takeout.

I wanted to make a special mention of this place since I was staying next door at the Motel 6 and I think it deserves a mention. Firstly, I grew up in a chinese takeaway and this place brought back a lot of memories. The owner reminded me of my mum when I was growing up.
Ok, the seating area is small-ish and fairly standard. The menus feature a lot of the usual Canton/HK fare. However I tried the beef horfun lunch special and its exactly how the best ones are made. Lots of noodles and onion, plus a good amount of tender beef. A very good price, especially for Pasadena.
For dinner, the black bean fish, salt'n'pepper chicken and broccoli/sausage fried rice was delicious and VERY generous. The vegetarian hot and sour soup was standard, but the owner kindly gave me a few egg rolls too which were hot and tasty.
Highly recommend.

Excellent Chinese food that is affordable. I have been here three different times for both dine-in and carryouts and so far I haven’t been disappointed.

The orange chicken was absolutely unacceptable....I only went for the pork and veggie gyozas which were great but the lady swore the chicken was the best! Not that day.

*Do NOT get food from here*. I have been coming here since it was called Chinese Cafe. Now, they changed the name to M & K under different family ownership, and it really went downhill. The cook(s) really changed for the worse. The black plastic containers for the food are smaller, and the wonton soup doesn’t have chicken, broccoli, and mushrooms in it. Just some bok choy, wontons, and shredded carrots. That’s it! Worst part is that the prices drastically increased. The wonton soup alone, for example, is $12.99. Are you crazy?? The sweet and sour chicken is now redder with smaller pieces of chicken. Ridiculous!
Don’t be stupid, folks. As a non-California native, there are a lot of stupid people here, but for once in your life, pay attention to this review and get Chinese food somewhere else.
