I went in to have lunch at this restaurant but wanted to see the menu first. I was shocked to find out that they charge more if I am by myself. I've never heard of such a thing. There's another GREAT Korean BBQ place that my wife and I love and just like EVERY other restaurant I've ever been to, they don't charge extra when you're by yourself. Since my wife wasn't with me and I'm not willing to pay extra just because I'm by myself, I decided not to eat there now or ever. It makes no sense to me, I understand that it's all you can eat but whether there's one person or ten people, each person would still eat the same amount of food they would have if any of them were there by themselves. They could have become a new place for my wife and I, and me by myself when she's not available, to go to but they will never get our business since they take advantage of solo diners.
I'd been passing by this place for years, but usually go to Main Street in Alhambra or Koreatown for my Korean BBQ fix.
Finally, I stepped in on Saturday for lunch, and was so happy I did.
The food is not spectacular, although if you want lots of meat Chris's Korean BBQ is the place to go. My favorite was the brisket and pasta salad.
I liked how my server was super attentive. Also, he refilled my salad without me asking him to.
Would come back if looking for AYCE Korean BBQ!

The decor in this place really needs some help. The service was awesome. The first ribeye steak we got was so rough. OMG I honestly don't know if I will be going back there

The food was really good and flavorful, but I do wish the service had been a bit quicker and more attentive. Overall, still a solid meal, just could be improved with better pacing and check-ins.
Great place in Pasadena. It was my first time. My party told me there are better options, but this one was good. They let us stay almost three hours, which is twice as long as the “time limit”.

I’ve always liked the food from Chris Korean BBQ — overall, it tastes good, and I used to order from them on Uber Eats pretty often. In the beginning, each order consistently came with salad, banchan, and rice. Like most Korean restaurants in LA, one set usually comes with one salad and banchan, so I expected the same here.
But after ordering a few more times, things became inconsistent. Sometimes they forgot the salad completely, and other times I ordered multiple sets (like three meals) and only received one salad. I let it go because I told myself maybe the salad and banchan were considered “extras,” so I didn’t complain.
However, what really frustrated me was the sudden and unreasonable price increase. For example, I used to order the Salmon Plate regularly — it was $31.00 for two pieces. Last week, the price suddenly jumped to $40.24. That’s almost a $10 increase with no warning, and other items on the menu also went up in a similar way.
The food is still good, but the inconsistent sides and the drastic price hikes make it hard to justify ordering anymore. I would recommend keeping an eye on this place if you care about value and consistency.
Classic option is the best and meat quality is good. Meat comes kinda slow but service is good other wise. Definitely will come back.

Good kbbq spot. Inside is simple and clean with tables and booths for seating. The classic ayce menu is good.
Service was ok. Kinda slow but staff is friendly. There's a small parking lot in back or street parking but you might have to walk a block or two.

Loved it here! Easy to make a reservation over the phone. Staff was very attentive, helpful, and kind. I was able to enjoy their premium AYCE meats for free because of their monthly giveaways. My review comes from honesty, not for the sake of it being free. I really liked the brisket and the marinated bulgogi. The brisket was soft, the bulgogi had a great flavor. Side dishes were nice, I especially enjoyed the cucumbers and the fish cakes. I honestly could eat a whole bowl of just the fish cakes. The kimchi was crunchy and flavorful. The spicy pork bibimbap was good, had a generous serving of pork, and is a big enough portion to share between two people. I appreciated the casual atmosphere, there was music, but it was playing softly enough that I didn't have to shout to be heard around our table. Whoever made the playlist has good music taste. There was a decent number of TVs as well playing the NBA playoffs. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and I recommend it to anyone looking to try it! :) Thank you for the great experience.

It’s not easy finding a quality Korean barbecue spot in Pasadena, but Chris’ Korean Barbecue is a rare and welcome exception.
The beef brisket was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of marbling to make each bite melt in your mouth. The marinated galbi (short ribs) was a standout—rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned.
The side dishes were decent and fresh, complementing the meal well without overshadowing the main event.
The service was fast and efficient, with staff checking in regularly and keeping everything running smoothly. I did street parking, which wasn’t too hard to find, especially if you arrive a bit early.
The restaurant has somewhat more family vibes rather than date vibes!

Waitress took our order (party of 5) without writing it down. She then forgot one of our entrees. Then waiter serves missing entree and forgets the rice and proceeds to give attitude when i ask where is side salad.. Servers need to be more professional

There were four in our group and saw this Korean Bbq AYCE. It seems locals already know about this place and it was almost full when we came in around 5:30 pm.
