Criterion has become one of my go-to cafes. I love spending a few hours working there. The people who go there are quite friendly; I've gotten into a few wonderful chats with table neighbors. My favorite drink to order is the chai latte (although a hot jasmine tea or chamomile do just the trick). Sitting upstairs or downstairs are both quite comfortable. But upstairs is my preference since there are plenty of outlets towers if you need to be plugged in. They also play a good range of music that doesn't overpower the ear, allowing you to focus on work or a conversation.
