I recently did some research around Pasadena to find an excellent place for brunch, where my friends from Diamond Bar/Walnut could meet us coming from Redondo Beach. We are vegan and my friends are not, so Deluxe 1717 seemed to be a great place to try, so I made a reservation for us all to go last Saturday.
All of our expectations were not only met, but exceeded. The location is ideal, very easy to find parking nearby. Upon entering, we were seated on their beautiful shaded patio area, where we were able to sit with our dogs, watch the people walking by and enjoy a wonderful brunch. I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and plantains. Both were outstanding, as were the dishes for each of the rest of my party. We were fortunate to have Joanna as our server. She is amazing and went above and beyond providing excellent service.
I highly recommend this outstanding establishment. We will be returning again soon and are customers for life.

Came here on a Thursday, got seated right away. We ordered the Asian Caesar salad, Cuban bowl, Bolivian empanada, and Basque cheesecake for dessert. Amazingly, all the different flavors worked well. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server, Joanna, took good care of us. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Even though these choices are from opposite sides of the world, the chef pulled it off perfectly! Tasty and healthy lunch 😁 Btw, you can optionally add protein to both the salad and the Cuban bowl

Every time we come here, the food is spectacular. Last night we ordered solely off the specials menu, and everything was delicious.
We shared the Thai coconut carrot ginger soup, filet mignon, and beer can jerk chicken. The flavors are rich and sophisticated, without the restaurant having a stuffy vibe.
Other perks: Their covered patio is dog friendly, and their wine list is extensive.

It’s our first time dining in this restaurant but they have been in this area of Pasadena for three years. The brunch menu is pretty solid. The crab omelette special was very delicious. The Cubano sandwich and everything bagel avocado toast are not to be missed. The staff was very patient and accommodating; they even offered stuff to calm our crying baby.

My daughter even planned a big birthday party for me there which was an exuberance of energy and and incredibly tasteful and exciting food. Every moment of it was perfect.
