Everything we ordered was tops. Service was friendly and fun, and you could definitely get a sense that every dish was up to the standard of the others. Came for brunch. Will return!

Most fun and delicious Valentine’s Day in years! Owners Onil and John are amazing: outstanding food, excellent customer service and friends the minute we walked in.

It’s our first time dining in this restaurant but they have been in this area of Pasadena for three years. The brunch menu is pretty solid. The crab omelette special was very delicious. The Cubano sandwich and everything bagel avocado toast are not to be missed. The staff was very patient and accommodating; they even offered stuff to calm our crying baby.

We’ve had the pleasure at eating at Onil‘s restaurant many, many times. My daughter even planned a big birthday party for me there which was an exuberance of energy and and incredibly tasteful and exciting food. Every moment of it was perfect. Every meal at Onil’s restaurant is perfect because of the personal touch and the clear love of what everyone there does.

Celebrated my son's birthday at 1717. He has so many food allergies that it's difficult for him to eat out - gluten, dairy, soy, egg, etc. Onil did a wonderful job putting together a 4 course dinner he enjoyed immensely. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this such a tasty and pleasurable experience.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of my Benedict, but the Cuban sandwich was bomb. It wasn’t busy for lunch on Saturday so service and food was fast.

The lunch menu was innovative and delicious! We had Thai coconut curry soup, Octopus tostada, Cuban sandwich, and Mushroom Barbacoa tacos. Every item was a wow! Great flavors - balanced, layered and really, really good. Will definitely go back to try the rest of Chef Onil's menu.

Not what I expected. Small but quaint restaurant. Food was absolutely great. I had Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were so good, I could have had them for the meal. For my meal, I had the Cuban sandwich with plantain chips. The sandwich was so tasty. The meat was te der and flavourful and the chips were thin crispy with a sprinkle of salt. Great ambiance. I went with friends, but this would be a great date spot. I'll definitely go back.

My wife and I have eaten here three or four times. I've had a different meal each time I've eaten here and each meal has been exceptional. The food here is very tasty. I love it. Very good presentation and atmosphere. The meals are not large. They're a modest size which is great, I've never felt unsatisfied and look forward to going again.
