I hope they re-open this place. Such a large restaurant. I mean, it was HUGE!!! You can have all sorts of occasions here, and they will accommodate you. The food was absolutely amazing. We went in during rush hour, and did not get the best service. But, will definitely go back, assuming they will re-open. Fingers crossed.

I just drove by and there was a big sign saying CLOSED!!! The Du Par's sign has been taken down Replaced with a for Rent/for sale sign I can't believe it's for good... I am so sad

Best pancakes around!! Make sure you taste their boysenberry !! I mix the maple and boysenberry when I'm in the pancake mood. Every bite is like a trip into much simpler and older times. Childhood. They used to be a 24/7 restaurant, however I'm not sure if their hours have changed. They have all kinds of pies and bakery sweet goodies here as well.

They don't make places like this anymore one of a kind you. No joke. We're lucky to have a place like this to eat.

I hope Du-pars reopens!!! They had the best pancakes I've tried! They were light yet fluffy made from scratch with melted butter on the plate!!! The breakfast options all were delicious!! The waitresses were very attentive and provided excellent service! I highly recommend Du-par's in Pasadena! I would give them 10 stars if possible!

One of the best breakfast spots around. Generous with the portions, the inside has a nice old time feel. Staff is great, always attentive and friendly. They have fresh squeeze OJ which is amazing. I had the french toast and pancakes. I wish this place were 24hrs cuz breakfast is good around the clock!

Pancakes pancakes pancakes!!!! This is a hidden gem and almost don't want to post!!! You all go to Dnneys and other 24 hour diners. This is my jam. Open 24 hour with 90 minutes of free parking in the back, is gold in Pasadena! You walk in the back, it's where the old hamburger hamlet used to be. First of host will seat you. Be kind and say, I'm in a hurry,!i want noise, I am want peace and quiet and I don't mind crowds...up front. I would go here regularly after a long day and my son and I would have breakfast for dinner. The pancakes are huge so you can have one tonight and save the other for breakfast! The only thing is they don't have a combo and you need to order eggs and other stuff on the side. The coffee is gourmet and they have mochas and other lattes. They have a well stocked bar and cold drinks too. So our waiter was great, tip kindly! I would ask for to go containers including the maple syrup, trust me! They have soup and salads and sandwiches and turkey diners with all the fixings. Support local restaurants, including others nearby, GSR and others!!' Did I mention fresh bakery to go, including muffins and pies! You'll be the hit of the office!

The pancakes are fantastic, cooked perfectly, fluffy and served with melted butter already covering them, then fresh real Maple syrup.

Ordered scrambled eggs and they had the shells in it. The waiter was very argumentative and didn't even offer to take it off the bill. The reviews here on yelp clearly show that this restaurant doesn't care about the customer. We told the waiter about the eggs and he just said they threw out the next batch for future customers and said they couldn't take it off the bill because we ate majority of the eggs. Super rude. The "40 year famous recipe for chicken pot pie" was average. It was definitely made from scratch which I guess is a good thing but the vegetables were all uneven inside... the carrots and celery were different sizes and it was awkward eating it. Honestly, it was an okay pie but I've had better. The hot cakes were good, which was a positive thing. Atmosphere wise, the layout was very spacious but it was too cold inside. Definitely won't be returning back. A bit of advice, if a customer makes a complaint, try to train the staff to meet their needs instead of offering a fake apology and doing nothing to correct the error. If you want a less expensive, tasty breakfast go to Russels in downtown Pasadena.

overall a good place to eat. the fried chicken breast was a little dry. however, the chicken pot pie was excellent! full o nice chunks of meat and vegetables with a most flaky crust. understaffed the night i went, but they handled it well.

My husband and I love this place. It's such a homey feel. We love taking our out-of-town friends here for breakfast. Plenty of parking and dine-in space. But it can get crowded depending on if they have enough wait staff. You must try the pancakes! My favorite spit to sit in is the room with the fireplace. I like bringing a book and having coffee with French toast some mornings.

I got burned by not reading Yelp reviews prior to coming to Du-Pars. Didn't think I needed to since I have been coming to Du-Par's for years. Wow the place is really gone downhill! Do Pasadena a favor and get better management or close up shop. Came in on a Saturday and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. With lots of empty tables you know you've got a manager problem if there is a long wait with a half empty dining room. The food prices are through the roof and definitely not worth the price they charge. We ordered a patty melt, a hamburger (they added cheese and charged us for it even though we didn't ask for it) and a watermelon salad. Total bill was over $60! We waited a long time just to get water at the table, food took forever. There is free parking for 90 minutes out back. Didn't think a lunch would take more than 90 minutes from the dismally slow service. I felt sorry for the overworked staff trying to pull this overloaded freight wagon. By the way the upstairs men's room has a plastic bag over one of the urinals. Come on, they won't even keep the rest room decent? That speaks volumes about how the management is milking every dollar and not spending a dime on maintenance. Second to the last straw, their famously delicious oatmeal is no longer on the menu. Big disappointment. Last straw - out of cinnamon rolls by 11:00 AM. Shame!
