I absolutely love this place. I've had two birthdays here! Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Great vibe.
We came here yesterday, and while the atmosphere was nice, the overall experience was just okay. The food wasn’t bad, but it lacked flavor — definitely could’ve used more seasoning. The drinks (beer and mimosas) tasted watered down, which was a little disappointing.
When we checked in for our reservation, the staff at the front weren’t particularly friendly. Not rude, but also not welcoming — no smiles or warmth. Out of the five servers we interacted with, two were genuinely sweet and attentive, which we really appreciated.
We also believe the owner was there. He walked around and greeted other couples, but never stopped by our table. Instead, it felt like he just stared at us, which was awkward. We thought he might come by to introduce himself or at least check in, but that never happened.
Overall, the place has potential and a cool vibe, but between the underwhelming food, watered-down drinks, and so-so hospitality, it just didn’t hit the mark for us.

Drinks and atmosphere were great, not too busy for a Sunday evening. Appetizers were just ok.

We came to Edwin mills for our anniversary. First, they have an amazing happy hour. Can’t beat $3 martinis. Second, our waitress Ali was bomb. Fun playful and supper attentive. Highly recommend going there and asking for her as your server.

A burger was served to us on a broken plate. After raising the issue with the waitress, we were offered only a 15% discount on the burger once the bill arrived. This is completely unacceptable treatment for customers. We have been coming here regularly, but unfortunately, this will be our last visit.

Fabulous casual restaurant/bar kinda hidden in the Alley( Miller's) behind Burke Williams. Live music on select nites / gives Europe outside Cafe vibes.
Servers are the best! So friendly and nice. Easy parking in lot on delacey 1 block west.

I don’t usually write reviews online and I’m not one to complain, but I have to agree with the last couple of reviewers. The quality of both the service and the food at Edwin Mills has noticeably declined. It’s really become a disappointing place to go. Maybe there’s been a change in management or ownership? Whatever it is, something feels off now, especially the attitude of the some of the servers. I hope the management takes these reviews seriously, because I’ve also decided I will no longer be going to this establishment.

Restaurantji Recommends
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The waitress looked drunk and was completely inattentive, the food was disgusting and barely edible, and the prices were outrageous for what they served. The calamari was hard like elastic and are you kidding me what restaurant serves calamari with out cocktail or marinara sauce!!!!! The potato skins were microwaved potato skins!!! Burger was the only decent thing. I came here because of the positive reviews. DONT BELIEVE THEM! Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values customers and food is edible.

We were regular customers at Edwin Mills and have probably been here around 15 times over the past couple of years. We brought friends often and had always spoken highly of the food, drinks, and music. Last night we came with a friend, enjoyed happy hour drinks, wine, an appetizer, dinner entrees, and a dessert that we shared, and looked forward to hearing a live music group we discovered here a few weeks ago.
After dessert, a waiter (not even our server) told us we had to give up our table because they “needed it.” There were several open tables nearby, and we were planning to leave at the next music break anyway.
Being asked to leave in this way, after so many visits and the business we’ve brought here, was extremely disappointing and made us feel unwelcome. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured we won’t be returning. Considering we were driving, it felt as if the only way we could have stayed longer would have been to order more alcohol, a very poor and not very smart message to send loyal customers or frankly any customers.

Cool place, used to be a horse stable. Lots of exposed brick and original wood features. Half off wine by the glass on wine wednesdays. Had the island rice and it was delicious!
