t's a cozy Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious and very fresh, and we always enjoy ordering taco plates and quesadillas with bottled beer. Highly recommended!

Delicious authentic Mexican food. I've sample numerous plates and all are excellent. Menudo a must. Service was spot on.

The food is good and the service is better. We have had them cater a couple of parties and it was fantastic.

I was greeted with a big smile and friendly service. El Matodor is a happy, casual neighborhood spot in East Washington Village in Pasadena which is clean and organized. The food was just as the Yelpers noted=OUTSTANDING! I had the Chile Relleno Burrito and it had all the flavors and textures I was craving. It will serve two, or eat half now and the other half later. This will be my go-to spot. I'll be back soon!

Great service, great food. Javier gave me and my wife the best service and made us the best drinks. Definitely will be back.

This is some of the best Mexican food I've had since living in LA. I was visiting the cat cafe near by and decided to grab some food to-go and am so glad I tried this place! Great authentic food, nice staff members and plenty of parking. The only downside is it's far from my house. But anytime I'm in Pasadena, I'll make sure to visit here again!

Just placed and received a delivery order. I ordered menudo, in the space for messages on the order form I asked for all the sides that usually come with menudo. I wrote onions, cilantro, red pepper, oregano etc. and asked for corn tortillas. When the order arrived I received the soup, no onions or cilantro but did get oregano, pepper, and corn tortillas. The problem is this isn't the first time El Matador has done this. Earlier this year I received no condiments at all, which makes for pretty bad bland soup. It's for this reason I will be ordering or visiting again. It's unfortunate because overall I like the food but the service is not acceptable.

THE best chile rellenos in Pasadena!!! I usually get a carnitas burrito wet with green sauce.

My husband and I LOVE this place. We stumbled upon it one day on a walk and have since then become regulars and bring our friends and family here. The margaritas are yummy and the food is authentic and delicious. His favorite is the chicken mole and mine is the chile relent and beef taco combo, but everything we've had has been great. Service here is always on point. It's a family owned spot and they really make you feel welcome. They also have a couple of tvs which is great if you like to watch sports while you eat. I highly recommend this place!

Great neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Great flavor and authentic cuisine. My favorite is the pork chili verde burrito and the chicken fajitas.

Delicious food and amazing service. We were craving chilaquiles and this place did not disappoint. The service was excellent and they made us feel at home. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. Will definitely be coming back here.

Warning to all people. Check your take out orders as they gave me a completely different item than I had ordered. What they did give me correct in fajitas was very disappointed with the whole plate.
