Never visit this place it is the worst place to eat in the world. The food is so old that if you eat it you might get a huge stomach ache or go to the hospital.

Delicious tacos with meat that was perfectly seasoned and cooked. They were made fresh just for me, and I will definitely be returning! Just keep in mind you have to speak enough Spanish to order.
? The food was not fresh. Tasted like it was old and kept in the refrigerator for days & remicrowaved again and again. Dirty bathroom. No more. Never again.
(Translated by Google) ROTTEN food I returned to return, but the TYPE OWNER of the place was kicking and beating a homeless person and I didn't risk it for a few dollars I went home, sad(Original)Comida PODRIDA regrese para devolver, pero la tipa DUEÑA del lugar estaba sacando a un desamparado a golpes, y patadas y no me arriesgue por unos dólares me fui a casa, triste
It's a small, non-drscript, Mom & Pop place but really good. I have only been once and have only had the tacos. There were huge, delicious, and a great deal. They melt cheese on the taco's inner side of the tortilla to help prevent breakage but it also adds a great flavor. I will be back to explore more of their offerings.
Pescado tacos were delicious, my husband got the asada plate and that was great too. Loved the juice I got too, very refreshing. Very kind woman working there. Thanks!

First time here and probably not coming back, maybe we ordered the wrong thing ? Maybe it was a bad day ? I am not sure, but we got Mole and Tamales, and Jeez we were so disappointed. We moved from Glendale to Pasadena about a month ago and we decided to try this place out because it was comida poblana! We love this food !!!! and have had many good experiences with other restaurants!Sadly.........The Tamales were so hard I could not eat it and I showed someone on a table how hard it was! Literally like a rock .. Definitely old and just warmed back up in a microwave or something! Definitely have to check on the quality of food before you serve it to a customer. =(The Mole, did not seem authentic or fresh more watery and bland,. Sucks! we were so hungry too !
Support your local businesses! Freshly made tacos for after your bike ride.
So good! A hidden gem

Food was amazing (see photo)
Great first experience at El Poblano Restaurant! I ordered the carne asada burrito and three tacos - pollo asado, carnitas, and carne asada. It was all delicious! The burrito is huge! It probably weighs two pounds. I actually got out the tape measure and it came in at ten inches. It's easily enough food for two meals. The char grilled intensity of the asada was balanced really well by the seasoned rice and tender braised pinto beans. The fresh roasted pepper salsa has moderate heat and is a wonderful addition to a perfectly balanced bite. The tacos are five inches in diameter and are filled generously with around four ounces of meat. I absolutely loved the asada and carnitas, the pollo was also very tasty and more flavorful than I was expecting. No fancy toppings here, just the classic diced onion and cilantro. In my opinion that's the way to go because it allows the flavor and texture of the meats to really shine. For me the real "wow factor" ingredients were the asada and carnitas. It cost just over twenty dollars, so the burrito was about ten dollars, and the tacos around three fifty. There is no detailed menu with prices. You just order and pay what the lady tells you when it's ready. The place is cash only so be prepared for that. I'll definitely be going back for more. So, do yourself and this little place a favor and give it a try soon.
