This restaurant, which seems very simple, only has advantages. The dishes are varied and really inexpensive for the area. The dishes are very generous and really very good. The lady in the kitchen and the gentleman at the counter are simply adorable. I highly recommend it.

The food is good, but the service is lacking in a lot of areas. Very rushy and even though you ask for no jalepenos on your sandwich, expect it to be spicy anyways. And if you sit inside, expect to hear online delivery order alarms pinging the whole time without anyone turning them off for at least 10 minutes, because there is only a staff of 2 people and both people are working in the back. The phone is ringing off the hook at lunch and dinner time as well, so expect that as well if you dine in. Til: So no special orders here, and for the most part order it to go.

Ordered Bun Bo Hue. Was tasty and the presentation was beautiful. If I was closer to here, I’d frequent this place more often.

I'm not sure why people complain about this place. Ginger and Spice is reasonably priced considering it's in the Pasadena area. Granted, I haven't tried anything besides Vietnamese food here and there is a bit of a wait but I've never been in a hurry. Their pho seems seasoned well, alongside spring rolls.

The portions are huge enough for two people to share. I really enjoy their rice dishes. Got the vermicelli bowl and that one wasn't bad, either.

Definitely recommend it.

The vegetarian pho was the best vegetarian pho I have had in LA since moving here 3 years ago from DC, a city with outstanding Vietnamese food. The girl at the counter was so friendly, quick, and apologetic for a minor issue with the pickup order’s timing. The pricing was great too, $13 flat for incredible pho in LA exactly what I would hope! I don’t leave reviews often, but even if it were just based on flavor alone, I’d review it this highly over and over again.

Vegetarian options: insanely good vegetarian pho

Truly my favorite ❤️ The best authentic Vietnamese Bún bò and Phở and Bún thịt nướng chả giò - compared to many places I have tried across California and the US.
