Amazing tacos. Handmade tortillas. Get the sampler! Horchata is good too (be warned, it’s very sweet and very creamy)

Some of the very best tacos in LA and definitely in Pasadena. I've tried most of the (meat) menu and you can't really go wrong, just personal preference.

Was craving a Breakfast burrito I drove by and saw the sign said breakfast burritos but when I went in, they said they can’t serve them because it’s after 12. It was only 12:15p store was void of any customers.

The staff was receptive and courteous and the place was clean.
I tried the Cochinita tacos. Unfortunately, after two bites, the beans over powered the miniscule portion of meat in tacos and could not be enjoyed. As a Mexican-American, I've never had soft tacos made with black beans. It must be a regional thing. I took them back and complained. I was given the opportunity to try two other types of tacos which were Mole and Calabasitas served without beans. They were much better than the first two especially the Mole but still disappointing since they lacked adequate seasoning.

Loved the quesadilla with chuleta, which is the diced pork chop with chili verde sauce. We also tried their sampler taco plate with both beef, both chicken, a chuleta and hongo (mushroom). Hongo was pretty good but, again, the chuleta was the stand-out as it was tender but still had some chewiness.

Love all the Guisado’s… they are all different in size and ambiance … all clean and cheery… and the food is fabulous. Have to mention the fish tacos: generous, tasty with a great cabbage slaw on top and fabulous tortillas! Washed it down with the Melon Aqua Fresca… oh my!

I used to really enjoy guisados but the past few times I’ve gone there for dine in or takeout I’m let down. The tacos seem to be pretty mediocre nowadays compared to a few years ago and the ceviche was really sad! It was more formato than fish and the portion I was given for my tostado was very small compared to the size of the tostado. I’d say it was probably only a quarter cup of ceviche
