Old town first on the block gelato! It’s been around for two decades. The punch card for every 10 gelato cups or cones is an amazing reason to come back. The prices are old town prices so come to be dazzled and had a taste for gelato.
This is one of my favorite places for gelato! I prefer gelato over soft serve ice cream anytime, and the selection here is amazing. They have an extremely large selection which make it a challenge every time my family and I love all the flavors. The pistachio is excellent, the lemon is perfect, the pumpkin pie which i tried last was delicious and tasted exactly like pumpkin pie. This place is our go-to for gelato. The prices are reasonable too. A must try for everyone.
Great Gelato and quick easy service!
Rude service, cannot imagine an ice cream shop has such rude employees.
I was deciding between a 3 and 4 star, but ultimately decided to go with the 4 stars because of the vanilla gelato. When we entered the display was very welcoming with many flavors to choose from and many different colors. I decided for a medium cup, which is two flavors and I got the peanut butter and vanilla. The peanut butter wasn’t that great, I didn’t really enjoy the flavor and it was not smooth and creamy like I expect from gelato, it was a little icy. The vanilla though was amazing. This one was smooth and creamy, and had a strong, delicious vanilla flavor. The lady there was nice, and told us she had been there since day 1, really happy for them and I’m glad they’ve been able to stay in business for so long.
Great gelato and friendly service. Like the old days.
We left Hello Gelato very disappointed. As soon as we asked to try a second flavor, the staff sternly told us we could only try two samples—creating the impression that we were just there for free samples instead of planning to buy. With so many flavors to choose from, limiting people to two samples makes it nearly impossible to make a confident choice, especially if those two aren’t a match, and you haven’t been here before.
The experience felt unwelcoming, which might explain why the shop was empty while Bacio Di Latte across the street was full.
A little flexibility and respect for customers would go a long way in creating a better atmosphere.
You don't have to be so stingy with the bathroom code. It's not your private bathroom. 3 different businesses use it and the business I went to was super busy so getting the code was hard, that's why I want to your business, which had no one, to ask for the code. Definitely won't stick my head back in your place, a little courtesy goes a long way.
YUMMY! I've eaten here several times, and it is ALWAYS deliciious! Clean, beautiful display, friendly staff, wonderful flavors. My favorite is salted caramel....oooooohhh so good!!
Wonderful gelato! Fast service! I was helped by Lei and she is wonderful. All the flavors are great!

Hello Gelato stands out among the many frozen sweet shops in Old Town Pasadena. The flavors taste exactly like they're supposed to, rich and delicious. The texture is dense and smooth. I like chocolate and mint chip, and my husband swears by the stracciatelli. Bonus: you'll often meet the owner himself scooping behind the counter. A great little local business!
The Best
Just brought home their blueberry cheesecake ice cream and I live walking distance from old town totally oxidized or simply old- called immediately- employee told me “ I will tell the owner “ unsatisfactory!
went there twice when I was in Pasadena. Very good ice cream. I tried 5 flavors; charcoal, rocky road, chocolate hazelnut, matcha and lemonade. They were all delicious and the ice cream even looked amazing.
Delicious passion fruit gelato
