The etouffe was excellent as usual but one of our guests said the shrimp and grits were dry
Amazing spot. I want to try more in the menu. Even the veggie dish with seitan was pretty bomb.
I wasn't able to see menus prior and the pictures shown didn't reflect what was on menu The beet salad was dry had more lettuce than beets
We had a delicious dinner at Henry Parsons Project. I had the fried oysters as an appetizer. The portion was so large that I took most of my main dish home as leftovers. My husband had the brussel sprouts and shrimp and grits, while I had the noodles with peanut sauce and okra. We accompanied our meal with a yummy Chardonnay. The chef came out to talk to us before our meal, a nice gesture. The menu is inventive and the ambience was warm and cozy, a perfect spot for a romantic dinner!
Thank you so much, HPP! Marvelous dinner for Altadena fire victims! Gaaaahhhh, your gumbo! The spicy Cajun shrimp! The kale salad - kale I actually enjoyed! And oh those Angel biscuits and blackberry cobbler dessert - inspired - and much enjoyed! A very therapeutic evening. Recommended - for your own benefit and because the people that operate HPP are heroes.
Always an awesome experience here! We love it and Kevin is so warm and welcoming. The food is Southern delicious!
Nice restaurant with plenty of free self parking.
We went there for a birthday party with a few friends.
There's indoor seating and an outdoor patio.
Service is top notch.
The decoration is interesting.
Inside there are a few tables but the acoustics are horrible. Very difficult to hear or speak to a person sitting right next to you. Maybe the patio is better but there might be a bit of traffic noise.
The food is ok at best. I suppose it's NOLA but some of the dishes seemed out of place.
The fried oysters were a bit in the salty side. The dipping sauce was good.
The peach salad was good but nothing special.
The tomato and cucumber salad was also good but also nothing special.
The gumbo and pork chop, which I didn't try but my friends did, they said were good but didn't rave about it.
The biscuit was good but also nothing special.
The fried chicken was ok but nothing special.
The shrimp dish was good but nothing special.
The halibut was flavorless and dry.
The steak was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and tender. It came with fries that were nothing special.
The Chinese noodle was actually very yummy. Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of spiciness.
We ordered three desserts since they wouldn't allow us to bring our own cake (this is the first time I've been to a restaurant that has such policy)
Surprisingly, their desserts are decent. I'd say better than the rest of the food.
The ice cream with peach was ok but nothing special.
The strawberry pie was ok but nothing special.
The berry cobbler was in my opinion the best thing they served.
I'm sure you see an overall theme... Good but nothing special.
I'm not sure what is all the hype about this restaurant. I found it overrated and over priced. Again, that's just my opinion.

Delicious, stupendous, fun-filled evening with convivial personalities always attending to our needs. Owner Kari is delightful and you will have the warmest hospitality warm welcoming while noshing on the most delicious choice of grub!! No slacking here; food is beautifully prepared by co-owner Kevin with farm fresh to table delights, whatever is in season and at its peak of freshness. Hubby and I so highly recommend and we don't say that lightly- we aren't always the easiest to please with all our fussy requests. None ever needed here as we will take each and every dish just as Kevin prepares it. Hoping they can host our daughter & future son-in-laws reception!! Can't imagine on giving their guests anything short of delightful and scrumptious selections!! Check schedule as they often are hosting weddings, parties, and such with no wonder why!!
This restaurant is only open a select few weekends since they are mainly a catering company, but if you get the chance to dine in take it because it is a privilege to eat here. The menu is short and sweet and constantly changing. Everything is delicious and well presented. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. Amazing experience!

Omgosh! Food was OUTSTANDING!! So much so that I forgot to take pictures it looked and was soooooo good! My shrimp etouffee and grits were hands down the absolute BEST I have ever had in my life, and I am from NOLA. The peach salad was good. We also had peach, passion fruit, lemon and mint cocktails that were AMAZING! What is one thing I would rate low? They are a pop-up restaurant now, open once a month (I believe that's what they said) due to primarily catering. However, that is good to know, because I will absolutely be using their catering services for both company and personal.

Place is banging. Best taste of New Orleans with Cali style in a dim dining room with loads of vibes and energy

Enjoyed our meals very much. The dining room is eclectic and cozy. The gumbo is spicy and delicious. Service attendant was friendly and checked on us several times. I'd like to go back and try more menu items.
Delicious southern inspired food. Friendly service, great portions, well priced and delicious. They offer a seasonal menu and a great selection of desserts and cocktails/ mocktails. Indoor and outdoor seating. Make a reservation in advance as it can get busy.

Truly yummy home style New Southern cooking. I had the seasonal ramps and beet salad, the pork chop and the biscuit. Would recommend all. Well seasoned and prepared - nothing over done or precious but still beautifully plated. I enjoyed my first fermented gin drink as well. Was thrilled to not have just deep fried everything but lovely Southern flavors.
