We had some delicious shawarma platters! The number of combinations you can make with the sides and upgrade to the fattoush salad is great. We had one chicken shawarma platter with rice, babaganoush, and labneh and one chicken shawarma platter with fattoush salad, garlic paste, and pita chips. All of it was very tasty. The garlic Toum was particularly good, as was the fattoush salad. Each platter comes with two thin pitas (the best kind). The shawarma was a more stewed chicken with onions and tomatoes than the usual kind of dry shredded off the skewer but it was so flavorful! Maybe best not to get it on rice because the ice absorbs all the liquid. We also got a cilantro jalapeno hummus that had a tiny bit of a kick. Everything was good, and the people were very friendly. We will have to come back to try more things!

Had walked by this place several times but finally came in for Burger week and was definitely impressed. Had the lule kabob wrap which was fantastic. They have some self checkout screens so they take your orders quick. Now I did go here during the middle of that heavy raining and so was timing my exit when the rain relented a bit. Finally I just decided I had to go and left. Get about halfway down the block when I hear one of the employees yelling. Which surprised me because no one was outside it was a rainstorm. I apparently had left my phone earbuds case and he ran out in the rain to let me know. Was very thankful for him going above and beyond there.

Decent choice for Mediterranean food! There is a lotta seating inside, but wish they would have included a bathroom here as well. I really enjoyed the nachos & fries mixed with shawarma. Definitely a great combination of Mediterranean & American cuisine! The Shawarma itself was a bit chewy and I wish that it tasted more fresh. We did go during right before they closed so it might have the the last bits of it. We didn't get to see a rotating machine that they use to cook the food so I'm unsure how the food is prepared. It didn't taste like it was sliced from those machines though, and it was fried on a grill because the bits were a bit more chunky than what I've been used to. Overall, the food was still pretty decent and the staff was very kind in directing us. Definitely would want to come back to see what else they offer!

Had the lunch special chicken plate. The chicken was super juicy and tasty. Food is prepared after you order, so there is a minute wait. Lady in the front was friendly. Place was comfortable. Would come back!

This is my new favorite go to spot! The chicken kabob here is soooo good with the garlic paste. The server was super friendly and overall the experience for both Togo and dine in was very smooth. The only thing I would recommend is to order ahead of time since it takes some time for the order to come out. But overall I would recommend this place to all of my friends :)

I've heard a lot about this place online in an fb group and decided to try it when I was in the neighborhood. It's located in a corner building that has free parking on the second floor. Plus some free street parking, too. I was welcomed by the woman at the counter who helped explain any menu questions I had and helped me apply for their reward program that also gives you credit upon joining. She was so patient and helpful. The owner, Joseph Jean, was on his way out and did thank me for coming in. The food is cooked after ordering, so there is a wait. I like that they have choices for their sides and I loved the red beet dill hummus. I still want to try the others but I would consider getting an extra side of this for just me. The chicken was juicy, flavorful and well cooked. Choices of dark or white- I got dark. Served over rice and with two pita.

Shawarma nachos always comes loaded, but the platters are really disappointing. For a minimum charge of $14.95+, you only receive choice of protein, rice, and two sides.. absolutely no roasted vegetables. The food is still good, but I would probably only come for the nachos which are big enough to share for two

This review is based off of a take out experiment.I ordered their fish with hummus and rice. It was delicious, the hummus was on point and the fish was still pretty good even for take out. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. The rice was good and really complimented the meal.I’d definitely come back and order from them again. I’d love to try their other menu items.

Vegetarian options: Careful! The rice is not vegetarian, for some reason.

Does Hummus Labs need another 5 star review? Probably not, but it gets one. Great food and people.

A colleague from my work and I came here to Hummus Labs to check out their Mediterranean foods. Cute and interesting business name I might add. It's a small little joint with 5 to 6 tables. Lots of food selections on the menu. I was not a big fan of hummus in the past, but now I am a fan of hummus after my visit here. There are a few different and unique variety of hummus flavors. It's all about the flavors baby!!! We ended up getting the Ultimate Platter for $34.95 that comes with 1 chicken kabob skewer, 1 fillet mignon kabob skewer, mini-shawarma nachos, salad, and your choice of hummus. We chose the Roasted Tomato Habanero Hummus and Cilantro Jalapeño Hummus. This feeds about 2 people... it was plentiful and we packed some to-go. Amazing tasting foods from kabob to nachos to salad to hummus! Everything was just yummy and delicious. Flavors were on point. Meats were tender and moist at every bite. Salad had the perfect dressing... I don't even know what the dressing was, but it was good. Nachos came with pita chips and not the run of the mill standard nacho chips... due to its thickness, it didn't get soggy like most nachos do... great choice of chips Hummus Labs! And the hummus... JUST WOW! That's all I am going to say LOL. You got to come here yourself to fill in the blanks. I want to come back now to get some more goodness, but I'll have to wait until the next time I'm in the Pasadena area. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Prices weren't bad at all. Dine-in experience was all around welcoming and comforting. I will definitely be back for more!!! Do drop on by and check them out... I'll see you here! P.S. I will post photos later. I have to get them from my computer since they are no longer on my phone. Thanks for your patience.

I have always been a huge fan of hummus labs after trying it once and seeing it on facebook. I visited the store and ordered their famous and popular beef shawarma nachos with classic hummus. The chips were still (mostly) crispy by the time I went home (but thats on me for deciding to take it to go). Towards the end of the meal, I noticed something that I was unable to bite down -- plastic. Despite the plastic, I thought it was still delicious and loaded with tomatoes, meat and hummus.

The hubby and I stumbled upon Hummus Labs while hanging out in Pasadena on a Friday afternoon. It's a casual spot where you walk up to order and can get a variety of salads, platters, or wraps. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma wrap which actually came with two individual wraps. The pita was thin and not too heavy and was filled with tender chicken, hummus, lettuce, tomatoes and garlic sauce. He had fries on the side which were crisp, very well seasoned and so yummy dipped in the side of garlic sauce we ordered. I wasn't super hungry and just wanted a little bit of hummus with pita. What I was served was a large serving of hummus and an entire packet of pita. I ended up taking the rest home but ate a fair amount of it while I was there. The hummus was smooth, had a nice flavor of lemon, garlic and was so soft. They have a wide variety of zero calorie sodas which I appreciated. The lady taking our order was super friendly, helpful and so kind.
