This is one of the best authentic Italian restaurants in the Pasadena area. The food is always phenomenal and fresh and the service was great because they brought us a complimentary pana cotta for our anniversary.

Il Fornaio is closing in Pasadena so we went for one last Hurrah! The salad I had (pear + grapes+ gorgonzola ) was delicious, but the fusilli pasta was sorta spicy and it was not indicated on the menu. The place can get noisy but is good for a group.

Last chance to eat at this location! (We dined on the patio since we brought our pup. We prefer outside because it tends to get loud indoors.) Long story short: Il Fornaio Pasadena will be permanently closing in January 14, 2024.
