Surprised by the best kung pao shrimp I’ve had in my life. Fresh julienned ginger, scallion, garlic; a brown sauce that showed care and layered attention - not some slapped together mass processed food. The young lady serving was kind, precise, and sat to clean green beans in any down time. Reminded me of my family in India, the women’s hands busy all day with preparation,
with the food from the earth.

Stop being stingy on doordash orders, no utensils napkins or hot sauce really?

Mediocre food. We got beef and broccoli, “boiled or pan fried dumplings” (definitely boiled), and black pepper beef steak. The beef and broccoli sauce was good, but the beef was low quality and the veggies were undercooked. The dumplings were bland. The black pepper beef was a little better and used higher quality beef. Comparable to Panda Express. I got take out, but the dining room looked pretty nice

I have eaten at J’s a dozen times both dine-in and take out. J’s never disappoints! The food and service are always top notch.
My favorite are
Chong qi fried chicken
Mapo tofu
Dumplings
Chili wonton
Cucumber Salad
Garlic chicken
Orange chicken
Green beans and many many more.

Great spot for dining in and take out. Been hooked since my friend and I stumbled upon this place last year. Their food tastes like it was cooked with love. Not oily, fresh ingredients and friendly service. Glad I live close because I will be a regular as long as I’m around!

I was searching on Uber Eats for Chinese food. I tried 2 other places and was disappointed. I tried J’s…Great food!!! Had the sweet and sour chicken 5 ⭐️. My wife had the chicken and veggies without the garlic sauce…5 ⭐️. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Found this little hidden gem in Pasadena. The girls and I were in the mood for some Chinese food and this was the perfect spot. The staff was very friendly, quick and attentive. The portions we great for sharing, it’s like family style which is nice. Since we all wanted to try a little of everything. I highly recommend the sesame chicken. It was so crunchy and delicious, that plate was done within a few minutes. Another of my favorite was the garlic cucumber. So much flavor and refreshing. We were lucky enough to find parking right in front. Worth checking them out and eating there, especially for big parties.

Super tasty and fresh, I’ve been here a few times and I’m finally leaving a review. I can taste that a lot of care and effort goes into the food here. Veggies are always fresh and never overcooked, meats/ proteins are great quality too.Recommendations?Broccoli chicken, orange chicken, cucumber salad, any of their soups. Don’t be afraid to venture out and try something new too, everything I’ve had is delicious!

Impressed by this unassuming Chinese joint. No more long drives to San Gabriel for quality Chinese fare. This place hits the mark. The fermented vegetable seasoning in the string beans is spot-on – a rare find. The Beef Chow Fan is bursting with flavor, each piece of beef and flat rice noodle coated perfectly with dark soy sauce. Already planning my next visit to explore more dishes. And the best part? It's just 5 minutes from home. Two thumbs up!

I was happy to find this new Chinese Restaurant near the Hotel where I was staying in Pasadena. We parked on the street, we chose the,1-Shrimp Chow Mein prepared with least 8 Prawns and the right Chinese seasoning,2-Salt and Pepper fish was a delightful treat, plated popping hot with Jalapeno and Onion Slices,3-the Orange Chicken…small balls of Chicken not overly sweet with a light batter that complimented the dinner.4- Hot and Sour soup, spicy and tangy with sliced bamboo shots, shitake mushrooms, diced pieces of tofu. The only thing that was under par was the Hot Tea, a half pot of water down tea.Definitely a good choice for Chinese Food next time I visit Pasadena.

Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetarian items.

As we were looking for a place for dinner, we stumbled upon J's Chinese Cuisine. No regrets, Super good. The family loved the orange chicken, chicken and green beans and chicken chow mein. The orange chicken was fresh and crispy. Our three year old loved it.Will definitely try again when we are in the area.

Kid-friendliness: The staff was friendly with our three year old and the chef even came out so she could express her good job on the dinner. So nice.
