Surprised to try this Korean bistro at Pasadena where Korean fusion food is rare to find. Food is delightful. Besides, cocktails are bar standard. Loved the plum soju mixed cocktail. Very worth a try!

Unless you have time to waste, a lot of patience, and don't mind an overpriced menu, I would not recommend this place. I wish I read the bad reviews beforehand because they are all true.Visited for a late dinner on a Saturday night. The wait time was incredibly long and the place only had 2 other tables (4 ppl total) while we were there. Tables were not cleaned for half the time we were there, so they were probably understaffed.I was confused when a table that came after we ordered received their drinks before us. I believe they had forgotten but they came up and asked and then they made the soju martini and finally served it probably 20min. after I ordered it. It was super strong, so worth it.We ordered the Salmon crunch taco appetizer. It was not crispy like expected, and definitely not worth $17. It came out 30min. after ordering. We weren't given any utensils, so we had to ask for some. The next plate came out 20 min later, and was unfortunately wrong.. we ordered Eel and they served us a salmon plate. They took it back, and we proceeded to wait another 15 or so minutes for another plate to come out. The pasta dish was pretty good and had a smoky flavor.I felt really bad for my brother who was the most hungry out of us all, and he had the plate that was wrong, so he waited an additional 20 minutes for them to bring it out, so he was sitting there for over an hour waiting for food. I think it's completely unacceptable to bring food out at drastically different times, and having customers wait over an hour to eat when the place isn't even busy. Most other places would have the decency to comp something or give a small discount for the inconvenience if they really cared about customers returning.I had to wait at the front for 5-10 minutes for a staff to come out of the kitchen so they could provide me with the restroom door code..Really wish I didn't waste my time traveling to try out this place, it was a disappointing experience and I will not return or recommend it to anyone.

Waited 30 minutes just to get a drink from the bar and then watched as my drink was left behind the counter forgotten about until we flagged someone down to get it. We were then ignored and not even asked if we wanted food, so we closed out early. Meanwhile four other groups around us said they didn’t get their food for over an hour.

I usually do not leave reviews, but our experience was a special circumstance. We couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be a sit down restaurant or a club. It was a very confusing vibe they were going for. There were groups seated and eating meals but a kid with speakers and his Spotify account was set up and blasting early 2010’s music way too loud for a dinner spot - it sounded more like a middle school dance. We sat for nearly 30 minutes and asked for waters 3 separate times to 2 different waiters and we never got to put our food orders in while food was being ran to groups who walked in just before us. It also took way too long to even get our waters. We tried to wait because Pasadena is so busy, but this was just ridiculous. The staff was more focused on getting the DJ and his group alcohol. It was very underwhelming and disappointing considering the positive reviews. While our waiters were very kind, the service was absolutely underwhelming and ended up having a very wonderful meal and great service at a Peruvian restaurant a block away.

Do not ever eat here. You will be waiting at least 1.5 hours for any food. It took 70 minutes for a bread and butter plate. I can cut bread in less than 2 minutes. I’m not even a chef. I’m just a random who can bread faster than they can. I bet a sloth works the kitchen. It’s the only thing that makes sense. I know you might think that this is hyperbole, but I’m writing this review as I sit here slowing gnawing on my own finger, not the one used to type this review. Let the place go to restaurant heaven or maybe restaurant euthanasia.

The people who wrote the previous reviews are truthful. The food isn't bad. The problem is that by the time the food shows up, you have starved to death. Fun fact, I wrote this review from heaven. Just kidding.

Love the bread and butter. My bf's bf enjoyed the uni butter and the tomago egg delight. He thought it was, and I quote "on fleek; point".

Indulged in Korean-Japanese cuisine, from Mentaiko Pasta to the crispy Bossam Chicharon board. The Spicy Pork Bao and Salmon Crudo were a perfect balance of savory and fresh. And to complement the fusion of flavors, sipped on refreshing Mount Yoshino, Peach Lemon Drop, and Mix N Matcha cocktails. Everything was flavorful and cocktails were all unique with pretty presentation!

Came here awhile back and the food and the service was great. The decor was really cute as well. Want to go back and try more of their different menus. Will be back!

THE AMBIANCE. That is all. This place is lit!! I don't know why more people don't come here more often. Hey next time you're waiting for hours at Bone Kettle, definitely give this place a try. We came here for dinner once and also for DineLa. Their take on the bao, I forgot if it was duck or pork, but it was phenomenal. Super yummy and gourmet. We also love the variety of Asian inspired cocktails, not many places have them. Shout out to Julie the GM! She was so sweet and wonderful to us and genuinely asked for our feedback. Oh also they share a restroom with the bakery next door, so if you feel like you're walking in the wrong area, you're not.

Super delicious food! We ordered the bossam board and udon pasta - both very unique and we cleaned the plate! The vibe is amazing too! Will be coming back very soon :)
