Had to quickly stop by before my next city. They had good prices and their meat was seasoned well. Will return

The food is delicious, and the service is wonderful. I personally don't stay there, but don't let my rating on the atmosphere dissuade you from trying it because the food is delicious. I personally just order food to take it to go. This is one of the three locations owned by La Estrella. This particular location serves breakfast food, and have carne asada and chicken for protein options, and they serve soups with Menudo only being served on the weekends. If you want to get cabeza, lengua, and other meat options for your food, then you can cross the street to order food at their other location.

Boy, I still eat there but a few days ago I went to eat and they always offered me separate sauce that time, not and they gave me my tacos with everything and with a lot of spice and they didn't change them because the order said so but they didn't ask me anything very bad because I asked for a change of food and instead they got angry

I've been here weekly since about 2015. The prices have stayed pretty reasonable even with inflation on the up currently. Carnitas and asada tacos are my go to and they're served with either red or green salsa (it comes directly on the taco unless you ask for it on the side), lots of fresh onions and cilantro, limes, and a handful of radish slices. Throw some iodized salt on the radishes and pop one in your mouth then thank me later. You will leave here smelling like whatever you order so keep that in mind. As for the location... they don't exactly police their dining room so you end up with solicitors or the unhoused meandering around or through the eating area. They don't typically run the heat so keep that in mind as well. Anyway, you're here for the food right? Right. Can't go wrong at La Estrella and this location in particular seems to have the dankest tacos of all their chain locations.Parking: There's plenty of extra parking on the street but be aware of the posted days for sweeping. I have definitely found out the hard way.Wheelchair accessibility: Both entrances are street level. No assisted doors. Handicap accessible bathroom. Wheelchair accessible seating. Tile floor can get slippery.
If you craving authentic Mexican food and you in the area check out la Estrella. They got a few locations here in Pasadena(orange grove, fair oaks, and Altadena). The charge a little bit less if you pay with cash and they charge for sauce. Beware of the lady she could come off rude some times but the guys are cool. Food is good and tasty. Good portion sizes and fast service

Has anyone else experience the girl taking the order add herself the tip without even asking ?Look I’m all pro to giving tip but sooo against people putting it themselves without even asking the customer.I’ve been a waitress before and when it comes to tip I always let the customer decide whether they want to tip and how much as well so this was really uncool but I was more embarrassed to go back to say something I just let it be.

The food here is good put sometimes they mess up your order and they take a long time and there's a lot of space here which is good.
