$54 for four tacos and 3 aguas way to over price tortillas did not taste like their handmade. They were very thin and no flavor meets have no flavor as well. Sorry, but I prefer taco trucks.

Mexican food is my absolute favorite and this place has me HOOKED! I first tried it 3 weeks ago and I can tell you’ve been back at least 6x or more since then and I live in 25 miles away! I have had their chicken street tacos, and their chicken burrito, as well as the guacamole and everything is fantastic! My son has had the birria street tacos and he said their are the best he’s had hands down! The meat is authentic and marinated to perfection, the flavor is undeniable and so juicy! The size of portions is perfecto! They don’t skimp on anything and the cost is excellent! I love how clean they are being mindful to wear and change gloves after every order or if they go to cashier they don’t use the same gloves they just handled money with. The place is kept clean, the workers are friendly and they are not stingy with the sauces! I’ve met Mike and Nora and they are wonderful! This is my spot and I have no problems driving here to satisfy my Mexican food cravings! My son said he could live off of their food and so could I! I was just there on Sunday and I will be there today! If you are looking for some Mexican food done right that will hit all the spots your taste buds desire, Madre Maiz is the place to go! My name is Mesha and I stand by this review 10 toes down! There’s no other place I want to go to for Mexican food…They WIN! 🏆

Where do I even begin!!! The service was great, the vibe was great, I got my food quick, and of course the food was absolutely delicious. I asked them what protein they like the best and they recommended me the birria and boy did it not disappoint. It was so juicy and flavorful. I got their especiales tacos on the blue corn and it was worth every cent. I also had their grilled shrimp taco and wow, just wow, absolutely amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more things. But one thing is for sure, this is hands down the best true authentic Mexican cuisine in Pasadena!!!!!!

We used to go here weekly when we had swim lessons in the area. Excellent mexican food spot. It was always a safe bet for our kids - they loved the burritos and they are picky eaters. Potato tacos are excellent too. Nice staff too!

The street tacos were great flavorful tortillas soft meat not chewy. The special arachera though for its price i dont recommend i had a harder time chewing that taco down for the price i would want it to be tender and easy to chew. Flavors were great a bit salty but i wouldnt be shy to get it again if the meat was tender. The shrimp taco was worth trying definitely was a favorite just pricey but definitely good with a balanced flavor & the shrimp was cooked perfectly not rubbery at all. The salsas were also good. Red maybe has more spice but very mild. Green is more lime flavored also mild both are delicious. Chef special tacos which was the shrimp and arachera 9$
Street tacos 3$
I recommend the street tacos cant go wrong with those.

the maíz grilled shrimp was $9 dollars for one taco but lowkey worth it.. the potato tacos were a little plain but the birria fries made with fresh cut potatoes made up for it.
