The chicken sandwich was very juicy, tender and delicious. The fries were very good as well. The cashier Atena was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed.
I would not recommend eating inside. It's loud, cramped, and uncomfortable. Just get it to go.
This place makes a really good fried chicken sandwich. Well, as long as you don't get it with cheese which is just a cold slice thrown on the sandwich (why not melt it like every other fried chicken place on earth?). The problem is it's just too inconsistent. Sometimes mild is mild and sometimes mild gets you medium. Sometimes the fries are seasoned and sometimes they're not. Sometimes the sandwich and fries are piping hot and sometimes they're lukewarm. With some quality control and better service, this place could be great. But as of now, it's not worth the risk and I'd go elsewhere.

I had a very disappointing experience at Main Chick Hot Chicken while picking up an order. When I walked in, the cook or manager on duty (I believe his name was Jose) was standing with another employee, casually chatting. He looked directly at me but never acknowledged me, never greeted me, and made no effort to assist. I stood there waiting while he continued his conversation.
Another customer walked in a few minutes later and rang the doorbell for service—something I didn’t notice at first because I was focused on the employees who were already watching me stand there. Only after the second customer rang the bell did Jose finally come out to greet me, even though I had already been waiting several minutes.
When I told him I was picking up an order, he checked and let me know the order wasn’t ready yet. While waiting, I politely asked if I could have the sauce that normally goes on the sandwich put on the side instead. Since the ordering site didn’t allow special requests, I came in early just to ask in person. He immediately cut me off and very rudely said, “No, we don’t do that,” without even letting me explain. I repeated my request, and again he responded rudely, saying they “can’t do that,” then walked away from me without offering any solution.
I asked him to please check with the woman preparing the food (who I initially thought was the manager). I clearly heard him tell her, “She wants another sauce but I already told her no, so don’t give it to her.” At that point, she came out herself and kindly asked what was going on. After I explained, she had no issue helping me and provided the sauce right away. She was professional and respectful, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, Jose’s attitude, lack of acknowledgment, and dismissive behavior completely overshadowed the visit. No customer should be treated that way—especially when simply asking a reasonable question. I hope management addresses this, because the level of rudeness and unprofessionalism I experienced was unacceptable.

I got the Supreme level and it was absolutely delicious hot enough to make me hiccup but not to sweat or cry. Absolutely perfect spice level chicken perfect crunch level too loved it.

It was my first time and I ordered three chicken tenders, which is supposed to be cheaper than the combo like every other places which is combo including three chicken tenders fries and sauce I paid more than the price of the combo. And I asked can I get sauce? She said we charge extra. Service was bad and food Quality wasn’t good.

Main Chick Hot Chicken in Pasadena is 🔥 🔥 🔥 meaning 😋 Always fresh and thier chicken taste tasty & crisp! Only drawback is that this particular Nain Chick don't have the seating so either you order togo, uses ubereats or the Doordash! Whichever, their food was amazing & you will be happy!

Not a place to stay.. mostly to take out.. For a long time I ask the combo with one sandwich, one piece of chicken and fries....for about $15. What can I say about this fried chicken... I work in the astronomical community so I clearly do NOT believe in Alien life forms visiting our planet. But THESE chickens are OUT of this world!!! Medium is my right level of spiciness not to hot to cry, not too mild to pass under the radar.. For me a non mexican hispanic, MEDIUM is the right ammount of joy that life needs. Meat is tender an juicy, the batter is crisp and not too thick, bun is never soggy nor dry nor hard.... fries are homestyle and the dipping sauce is the fatty complement to tame the wildness of the spiciness. I really would like to go one notch above medium......but I am not that brave yet... hopefully next time!!!!

I’m editing my review from 4 years ago. I’ve been coming here since 2020 and I love main chick every time I’m in the area I stop by and eat there they have been consistent and fast, but after today I don’t believe I will be coming back again first and most importantly some of the kitchen workers weren’t wearing gloves which made me not want to eat the sandwich also the quality has gone down.
