Dollar sake and 2 for 1 sushi after the Dodger win. Was already rating them highly because the mackerel sushi is phenomenal if you like mackerel.

Went for lunch on a whim and found this little gem. I’m vegan but the avocado rolls were really good. Decently price

No idea how this place has such good reviews. The food quality is just not good. We ordered many things and all the sushi was terrible. Mushy and not fresh fish and the sushi rice was very mediocre. Not super cheap too. Spent over $100 for 2 people at happy hour.

Definitely overpriced.
We went during their happy hours and we ended up spent $76 a person and we were not even full. The happy hour edamame is $5 for a small dish and the cucumber salad is also $5 for a very small dish. The fish on the sushi are thin and not tasty. We also ordered a 15 mix sashimi, $59, very thin, not even good fish. So everything adds up since they are all small portions. Definitely overpriced. This is my first and last time here.
Go try it yourself :)

Honestly, this was such a letdown. The service was sloppy. I had to walk up to the server just to add something, and even then she messed up my order. I pointed at the regular salmon collar (2 pieces) but she put in a lunch special without asking. What came out was sashimi I didn’t want and just one salmon collar with burnt rice. When I asked for the proper order, she came back later saying it was sold out.

The fish itself didn’t feel fresh at all. The tuna and salmon looked dull, tasted fishy, and honestly weren’t even supermarket quality. For the price, it’s hard to believe all the glowing reviews online. Definitely not somewhere I’d go back to.

**This review is for their sashimi only, for what it's worth maybe their other offerings are different story.**

Food - portion is on the smaller size, as for quality you could easily find better quality fish at AYCE location.

Service - slower service and hard to flag waitress on some part of the restaurant. Didn't get soup or salad until asked.

Atmosphere - place is on the smaller side but is well maintained. Parking is either street parking or nearby lot $7 / 2hr as of Sep 25. Otherwise public parking building near buca di beppo at $1/ 2hr with ~15 min walk

Tl;dr - if you live or work nearby, it probably is an ok spot to go to. I wouldn't recommend driving out of your way for it.

Just not good. The kind of place that smothers the sushi in garlic and jalapeño to hide the poor quality of the fish. I’m being generous with two stars. Ate at sushi bar.

Delicious flavors, way better than other run-of-the-mill places. Happy hour specials are a good bargain.

I couldn't get enough of this charming restaurant! The sushi was excellent!

Fun place, we could tell it was mostly locals, which was a good sign. The sashimi was amazing and generous portions. We found it with InKind; and got 20% off!

This place keeps getting worse each time. I have never been here for lunch but I got the sushi special and the chef selection made me feel like I was an afterthought. Honestly I think they gave me their worst - a selection of fish that was about to expire. I will not finish this meal because I am afraid to get sick. All I wanted was good sushi on a nice day! Leaving this behind. But I did pay for it.

It was my first time here, and it was so good I went back the next day.

The food! In a word, wow. The food was incredible; very fresh, and the flavors of the different creations are unique (in a good way, not a weird way). There are a lot of things to try on the menu. It will take several visits to try all of these exciting creations. Even their house salad had high quality greens with a delicious light dressing.

The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. The food arrived FAST! Even on a Friday night.

All the food was great. So many many interesting choices that it was hard to decide what to pick.

We ended up choosing the edamame, gyoza, and softshell crab appetizers... Very tasty. Softshell crab was delicious and the gyoza was also very yummy.

Then we went with the Dress Me Up sushi and the Crispy Tuna. Comes as 2 large pieces each. The Crispy Tuna was definitely the winner there. The Dress Me Up was good but totally outshined by the crispy tuna.

Next we had the Albacore Blossom, B.A.D. Angel, and the Tropicana. All three were delicious, with maybe the B.A.D. Angel as the favorite, followed closely by the Albacore Blossom.

Plenty of food for 3 people.

We also had a couple bowls of miso soup, 2 beers, and some hot sake...

About $60 per person after tip.
