The service was great no complaints about the kind server. The food tho... awful. I ordered chilaquiles. Which I understand this is a Salvadoran restaurant. But I thought they should be good. I was wrong. It was like if the cook just took a bottle of salt and poured it on top. The salsa was salty, the meat was salty and they added hard cheese which was even more salty. Then I ordered a corn tamale. It was bad. It was a sticky texture and was too sweet. They added too much sugar to the masa of the corn tamale. It sucks cuz I chose to try this place out instead of a big name chain restaurant but I regret it. Even the coffee was bad. I love coffee. I couldn't finish the coffee even. The owner was there, so was the cook, and asked me about my food. Cuz she saw i didnt finish my food. So i was honest. The food i had was not good. I told her I'm Salvadoran so i know what it should taste like. I guess maybe i have higher standards. The owner responded with offering me a free Pupusa the next time i come back. Honestly for the price I paid for the awful food. I would have thought maybe a discount would have been better. I paid around $32 for that horrible food. Not including tip. This place really let me down. The 2 star rating is because the server, which is the owner's daughter was nice. Otherwise it would be 1 star.
I won't ever come back!

I always drive by this place and notice it because of the bright yellow building, and I finally got the chance to eat here for a friend’s birthday party. They set up in the outdoor area, which was perfect for a small event. The staff even made special menus for the party, which I thought was a really nice touch.
I got to try the queso fundido with chorizo, chicken empanada, pupusa revuelta, and the ceviche tostada plate. The queso fundido was cheesy and rich, and the salty chorizo paired perfectly with the chips. The chicken empanada was crispy on the outside with a moist and flavorful filling. The handmade pupusa was one of my favorites — soft, cheesy, and packed with flavor. You could really taste that it was freshly made. The ceviche tostada plate was super fresh and refreshing, a great balance to all the richer dishes.
Everything we had was delicious, and our server Melissa was awesome. She made sure everyone at the party was well taken care of and kept things running smoothly.

This restaurant in Pasadena offers the best service and food I’ve ever had. It’s rare to find a restaurant that serves authentic, homemade food these days, but this place does it. The portions are huge, and the owner personally greeted us and made us feel welcome. The service and food were absolutely incredible—10/10!

We’ve been to so many restaurants that end up being very disappointing but this place was extremely good. Forget in-n-out next door and get something fresh and authentic. My 3 year old even loved the food. Pupusas were deliciouss & Salvadoran horchata was so good!

This place is the worst. Bad service. Disrespectful. It’s dirty and the staff is rude. Overpriced. I would avoid this place
We decided to go here the other day because it seemed like a nice place for comfort food on a cold rainy day and we were CORRECT! We ordered the beef and cheese pupusas and they were amazing. I got the abuelita hot chocolate which was delicious and the waitress even topped off my glass because she had made a little extra. Very kind staff and very good food! Can’t wait to come back!
