I've been a customer for two weeks now. For a meal prep Company the food is absolutely delicious. I noticed some complaints about the pricing from other yelpers. But the pricing is absolutely fair for such high-quality food and service so far. Very healthy and great portions and I have yet to eat any of their meals that wasn't A++.. by the way I'm very picky with food

It's so sad because this company has a lot going for it, but their basic drawbacks keep them from being great. I've tried many different meal delivery companies and I do prefer MuscleUpMeals out of them all but there are still some significant down sides. First, the good: 1. Their food is always delicious. I haven't had such delicious meals from a delivery plan. 2. They are the only company in Los Angeles that I can find that will offer vegetarian/vegan and keto at the same time. 3. They have no-nonsense straight-forward ordering and no subscription nonsense. Just order the meals you want. 4. Out of about 5 different companies I've tried, this company has the least amount of shipping/packaging waste, which is a REALLY big deal. Now here's the bad news: 1. The meals are INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED at an average of $15 per meal. That's one meal for 1 person. And you get a tiny little meal, not something like you'd get for the same $ in a restaurant. This price wouldn't be so bad if they didn't charge another $15 for shipping. I completely get that they are shopping and cooking for me and the overhead involved in meal prep, but... 2. They skimp on the important stuff. Primarily meat or other proteins. We had "broccoli beef" the other night and literally had 2 strips of fajita meat in it, a TON of cauliflower rice, and a broccoli. This is an ongoing problem, not just an isolated incident. They definitely weigh their ratios to cheap out, which is terrible considering their price. If they are going to charge a solid $5-7 MORE than the competition, they need to make sure it is worth it. 3. They charge and additional $15 for shipping. A whole $15 on top of the exorbitant meal prices. 4. To further cut costs they cross-pollinate their meals. For example their broccoli beef, beef bulgogi and beef fajitas just all use the same meat. There's no difference, and this was most disappointing with the beef bulgogi which is not at all supposed to be like fajitas nor does it resemble the photos on their website. 5. ...which leads me to the next thing: They are really badly guilty of false advertising. They use unrelated stock photos of foods on their website menu, that don't even show anything remotely similar to what you actually get. They need to make sure the food at least is recognizable. (I'm looking at you again Bulgogi Beef!) I really want to continue buying meals from this company, but they have way too many drawbacks that need to be fixed first, primarily value.

I'd give them zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time or money with these guys. We were customers for a full year and experienced time after time that they do not care about anything but your charge card. When they delivered to an incorrect address after our numerous attempts days in advance to change the delivery address, I called and Adam, the owner (the one with the photoshopped pecks on the website lol) and he pretended to accidentally hang up on me and then wouldn't pick up my calls. Never got our order nor did they send a replacement. No calls. No apology. Nothing. Not smart. To make this right he would have had to replace the order which would have cost him $200 but, instead, he lost out on $800 + income/month from this customer. The number on their website appears to be out of service and, apparently, they never look at emails. All around cheesy company. Glad we found another delivery service that's solid.

Was good. Until over $200 of food didn't arrive. So I cancelled the next $200 order of food. And requested refunds on both. Multiple emails went unanswered. Phone number out of service. Too many other choices and competitors in Los Angeles for a company to operate like this. Here's a photo of my last two orders --

I have been doing keto since august and started ordering from muscle up back in September. Food is delicious! And great customer services and deliveries. My favorites are chicken Parmesan, orange chicken, carne asada plate and quesadillas! Keep supporting local small business

Highly impressed!A friend and I are in town for a few weeks and both like to eat clean. We found this place though goodie searching and I am so glad we did!Th food is amazing. Great quality. Macros are perfect, and nothing is boring or bland! Delivery was right on time as well. And their packaging and presentation was great. If lived local I would for sure be a repeat customer. Thanks guys!

I have to say I just found it to be ok. Some meals better than others which is fine we all like different things. The fajitas plates may have been my favorite. Chicken and rice, very bland. Overall though I found myself just sort of eating the food and not enjoying it all that much. I won't write a one star review as I feel too many people do that over petty issues but I feel like this is an honest 3. The delivery is good, quick, well packaged, nice job on order tracking etc. I'd ordered a few times, trying different options but was left highly disappointed when my order of chicken parmesan (which has an amazing photo on the site) which was supposed to come with zoodles showed up with no cheese whatsoever, barely any sauce and instead of the zucchini noodles just plain penne pasta. Mistakes happen but this just felt cheap and careless. The photo shows a slab of cheese over the top, none of this was there. Just breaded chicken sadly. Just I don't know, can't bring myself to bother going back. Underwhelmed.

Reliable, tasty and you feel good being on their program. A lot of thought goes into the meals and you will have great energy without being hungry. The only suggestion I have is to use less tomato in the recipes. It is too heavy on the use of tomato sauce. Maybe try other spices -- pesto?? Basil is easy to grow and more green would be welcome. Happy to pay more for less tomatoes. I would literary stay on this forever if you had more diverse spices. Thanks for listening and grateful for the work you've done--love the egg cupcakes for breakfast and the zucchini noodles. More greens please and less red. :)

Top Five Reasons Why I Adore Muscle Up Meals, especially, for my 1500 calories per day: 1. Nutrition Content and Container Sizes. It allows me to specifically pick the low carb meals that I want and/or be able to compare and contrast the various calories between Balanced, Keto, Low Carb and Vegetarian meals. The containers also come in four sizes: Small (4oz), Medium (5oz), Large (6oz) and Extra Large (8oz), so that you can gauge how much food you might need (I'm good w/the Medium Sizes). If you're not sure, you can also contact Muscle Up Meals. Best of all, I can easily enter the information into MyFitnessPal app. 2. The meals are affordable, which allows me to alternate between breakfast and lunch. 3. There's no commitment - I'm not forced into a packaged meal/subscription. I can do a la carte style and choose whichever meals to fit my nutrition goals. 4. The meal deliveries are promised w/in time frame and are packaged neatly and tightly. 5. (Saving the best for last), the Owner - Adam Karapetyan. He went from "Obese to Muscle Beast in 14 months, losing over 200lbs!" Partnering up w/Executive Chef Jesse Munk (who also lost 60lbs), "Each meal is prepared to be 5 Star Delicious as well as precisely weighed and measured to ensure each meal provides the optimum nutrition to help you reach your fitness goals." Proof is definitely in the pudding (pun intended, hehe!). Meal Deliveries: Sundays (between 6pm to 12am midnight) and Mondays (between 10am to 6pm). There's no specific time on when they will deliver. However, you will receive a text notification on your driver's Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA). It will also include the driver's name, and the car's make, model and license plate (in case you're at home to receive the delivery and want to make sure it is actually them). If you're not home, the meals come in an insulated bag w/cooling gel packs (lasting up to 15 hours) to keep your food fresh. Deadline to Order: Friday by Noon. However, if you miss the deadline, you can always contact them. Examples of my first breakfast and lunch entrees w/Muscle Up Meals: Breakfast Items: 1. Low Carb - Breakfast Tacos served w/green salsa verde. 2. Low Carb - Eggwhite Breakfast Tacos served w/green salsa verde. Both versions were delicious, extremely satisfying and kept me energized throughout my mornings at work. The lean ground turkey meat, scrambled eggs/eggwhite were seasoned perfectly w/out tasting too salty or bland. The cauliflower tortillas were fluffy, hearty and tasty. I tossed both the green salsa verde since they were too spicy for me and the breakfast tacos were satisfying w/o it. Lunch Entrees 1. Balanced - Blackened Chicken served w/cauliflower and grain rice. Extremely good! Bummer, they didn't have it for this next week's order. The chicken breast was tender and juicy, while the cauliflower was crunchy and grained rice was nicely cooked. 2. Low Carb - Turkey Meatloaf served w/broccoli florets and grain rice. The turkey meatloaf was good but tasted a bit too mushy for me. Whereas the broccoli florets and grain rice were perfectly cooked and filling. I may try out the Balanced or Keto version at some point. 3. Low Carb - Chicken Tenders (2pcs) Plate served w/a chipotle sauce, roasted Brussel sprouts and cauliflower rice. The chicken tenders were hearty w/a little bit of heat to them. The chipotle sauce was too spicy for me. The roasted Brussel sprouts were a bit al-dente, but I still dig it. The cauliflower rice was also tasty, a little bit of heated kick (still edible). 4. Low Carb - Chicken and Cauliflower Rice. My last and simplest meal for the week, which was tender, moist and flavorful. Overall, I highly recommend Muscle Up Meals. I will definitely continue w/them and have already ordered my second batch of food! (Stayed tuned, I'll continue posting pics of new meals).
