I couldn't stop thinking about their chicken pad thai after the first time I had it. Went back with a friend my second time and we both agreed that it held true to my high praises. Definitely a new favorite go-to! The staff is friendly and efficient, and the servings are pretty generous.

It was ok. Had salad rolls, fried tofu, Pad See Ew with tofu, Thai iced tea. The tea was good. I liked the salad rolls as a pleasant departure from fried spring rolls. The fried tofu was dry and just odd for some reason. The Pad See Ew had tasty greens and the noodles were good. But somehow the whole thing was relatively flavorless. Overall passable, but I've had much better Thai. (Try Min's.)

I am from San Jose, CA and I'm here for a conference so I thought I would try a local spot and this one happened to be across the street from Target which was where I was going. I walked in and was seated right away. It wasn't too busy, but it wasn't empty either. There were three other table sat and a steady flow of customers coming and going. I ordered the lunch special yellow curry with beef. It came really quickly and was nice and hot. It was yummy. They were generous with the beef. It also had pieces of potato, carrots, and onion. I love curry! This was delicious. The special came with rice, two egg rolls, and a salad with a peanut sauce dressing. It was the perfect amount of food. I also ordered a Thai Ice Tea.

This place was exceptional. I ordered the Panang and chicken satay from the recommended menu and they were delicious. No spice scale though and in my opinion the spice level was very mild. I prefer a bit more spiciness. Service was pleasant and the atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming. Great place for lunch.

Great little spot for dine in or take out! The staff is always very friendly no matter how busy they are. The spicy catfish filet is a favorite, very flavorful, light, and crispy. We always order the sauce on the side. Can't leave without the Mango Sticky Rice for dessert absolutely amazing!!!

Lived in Pasadena for 6 years and hands down this is the best thai restaurant you’ll go to! My favorite go-to place.

There was only one waiter who was also the cashier. He was speedy but very busy. The pad thai tasted like diluted tomato sauce with a lot of sugar and salt. I couldn’t finish it.

Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen in the SGV. I swear there's more Thai joints than burger joints. This one is da bomb! Been going here for like 10 years. Yellow curry is delicious. My go-to, Pad Thai is one of the best in the area. Pad See Ew is awesome. True confession- I like broccoli. I've never been disappointed here. Sometimes I order take out and pick it up. Always quick. Never messed up my order. I like to sit in the covered patio when dining in. This place is busy at noon and at 3 pm and 5 pm. It's no secret it's good, fast and inexpensive. Service is always top notch. My only question is: How did they come up with the name?

We've driven by this restaurant several times over the years. Today there was an available parking spot in front, which was our lucky day. Upon entering, there's both indoor and outdoor dining areas. But the coolest thing about the entrance is a replica Thai motorbike. It's only the front end, but it's still cool. The outdoor dining area is clean and well laid out, however it was a beautiful day and all the tables were taken. Upon entering the indoor dining room, we were instantly greeted and directed to an available table. You have two difficult choices when it comes to ordering, either look at the menu or what others are eating. Looking at other's food was mouth watering. During lunch hours you can order from the regular menu or the lunch menu. Both are filled with several items to select from. The staff are really appreciative of your decision to dine there and it shows. I asked the owner or manager how they came up with the name. Translating "9" in Thai means "moving forward". "Moving forward and moving forward" The food and service are amazing and I can't wait for an available parking spot in front again.

Great lunch combo deals here and one of the best warmed up mango sticky rice versions I've had in a long long time. Small space that's fill ups quick indoors and out so get here early!

After hearing much about Nine and Nine Thai Kitchen in Pasadena, my anticipation was met with nothing short of a culinary calamity. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance felt more akin to a forgotten storage room rather than a restaurant with any aspiration of providing a dining experience. The air was stale, carrying a faint but distinctly unpleasant odor, reminiscent of a blend between overused cooking oil and forgotten leftovers.I decided to give their renowned Pad Thai a chance, hoping the food could redeem what the atmosphere could not. Regrettably, this was a grave mistake. The dish, if one could indeed call it that, was an unpalatable jumble of ingredients. The noodles were so overcooked they had begun to form a singular mass, the chicken was drier than the Sahara, and the sauce was overwhelmingly sweet, as if the sugar jar had accidentally emptied itself into the pan.To add insult to injury, the service was as lackluster as the meal. My attempts to catch the attention of the staff were ignored with such dedication, one might have thought it to be a practiced art form. When the bill arrived, it felt less like a request for payment and more like a ransom note for my lost evening. In summary, Nine and Nine Thai Kitchen delivered an unforgettable experience, though not for reasons one might hope. It stands as a stark reminder that not all that glitters is gold, and certainly, not all that is Thai Kitchen is worth the visit.

Ordered Pad Kee Mao, and it was delicious. What was so odd though is that the waiter would not look me in the eyes. He stared straight ahead every time he talked to me. It made me feel very unwelcome and - as immature as this is to say - very ugly or smelly or something lol. (And I don't smell and I'm not gorgeous but I don't think I'm ugly either). Or maybe he doesn't like older women who dine alone? Did I remind him of someone he intensely dislikes?I felt very self conscious, so I didn't enjoy my meal. I don't think I've ever experienced this before.
