My mom and I really appreciate Natori’s personalized and Kim, the waitress’ services. It was our first time here. Kim sat us down and immediately start to explain and guide what to order on the menu as there were plenty of options. We truly felt so welcomed by her and Natori Chef while we were sitting at the shabu shabu table. He was very meticulous with our order by customizing the spicy broth to mild spicy since my mom couldn’t take the heat. The food is fresh and so well prepared that we enjoyed every bite of it. We definitely will be back.

No wasabi in the nigiri, and the mustached chef at the far-left counter didn’t offer it.
Otherwise cost performance for $32 sushi lunch was solid.
This restaurant was fabulous!
Service: the staff were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable! we were seated quite quickly despite what looked like a busy Wednesday evening.
Food: everything was phenomenal. We were a party of three and shared most dishes. The cucumber was fantastic. It was a bit of a citrusy sesame vinaigrette that I would love to make it home. The Yuzu daikon was refreshing, There was a fish with daikon stew that was also great. The bento was a good portion and unique side dishes like carrots, cucumber, seaweed, the salmon and steak were well cooked. If you’ve never had barracuda, check it out on the daily menu! I would explore this menu more the next time!
The dessert was the most memorable. It was a raindrop mochi with black bean and ginger and a very nice black bean syrup.
Will definitely go back to try other dishes!

The taste is authentic, the ingredients are fresh. Even the desserts are made to order. Will come back again in the future. It's very busy at lunchtime. Luckily, we came early so we didn't have to wait long for a table.

I arrived for lunch when it opened and was seated immediately (it definitely fills up, though). The Shokado bento box was incredible; each component was lovely and noteworthy. The iced green tea is also superb. Kind and attentive service. Highly recommend!

A Pasadena staple! I’ve been here a handful of times with my family to have authentic Japanese food and can confirm Osawa is still amazing for quality Japanese food! 🙇♀️ Soecial shoutout to Chyona helping with orders - she was very attentive and caring! Highly recommend this place for a date night!

We arrived there exactly 11:30 and had a 11:30 reservation. Upon entry, super nice waiter named Kim gave us menus. She was so nice and energetic, and she made the experience a lot more enjoyable. We ordered the bento box with tuna sashimi, sushi, salmon, Angus beef steak, and seaweed w/ rice, the kids meal, the sashimi lunch, and the spicy tuna bento box. (or something like that). It was so good, the salmon especially melted in my mouth, and the seaweed was really good, and that was unexpected. The whole meal took me aback, definitely coming back. No bad things about this place, and the bathrooms are really clean as well. A little expensive, but worth it.

Exceptional food, the freshest fish, brilliantly crafted desserts, and heartwarming hospitality from the whole team.
Lots of thought put into all the details and side dishes, with subtle, elevated takes on even the simple classics (I really loved how they did the eggplant.)
So good I had to cancel my other reservations and eat here twice in one day.
A Pasadena gem I’ll look forward to visiting again.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Very thoughtful dishes. Save room for desserts. They are spectacular as was the food and service!

I got the shabu lunch special with the black angus ribeye. I’m gluten free, and they were so accommodating. I could have the chicken broth, glass noodles, and everything else the shabu came with. They even had tamari! I highly recommend for those with food sensitivities.
