The food was great. They accommodated at large group of 10. Make reservations. They have a bar where you can eat too.

Solid Chinese American food. We had the Mapo Tofu, Orange Chicken, Panda Beef, and Pork Chow Fun. Drinks (Yuzu Lemon Drop and Lychee Martini) good as well, strong and smooth. Would have enjoyed more options for traditional Chinese, but the limited menu was showcased well with everything we ate.
Service was amazing, wheelchair requirements were made known to the staff and they proved a great table with easy and clear access.

Happy New Year was a great reason we dined at Panda Inn. The food and service is always fantastic. Our server Jacob was attentive, polite and friendly.
We celebrated Lunar New Years Day! Excellent service and great atmosphere. The Wagu steak was outstanding! We will be soon returning for another delicious meal
Remodel looks great. Food and service is top notch
Feb 16th, 2026 Edit:
This place is serving frozen food, I'm pretty sure. None of the food has flavor. The rice feels microwaved. The orange chicken doesn't taste like anything. The egg drop soup tastes like nothing. It just feels like everything is frozen and microwaved. If you get this food to go within four minutes, it's cold, because I'm pretty sure it's a frozen food that they either flash fry or microwave.
There is a place in South Pasadena that serves the same Chinese food, but it's a hole in the wall and it's way better, and the service is top-notch.
THIS PLACE IS A WASTE OF MONEY. It's good if you want to sit in a nicely remodeled place but Panda EXPRESS down the street tastes better. Sad to see the outcomes of this restaurant being CHEAP RECESSION food

Been here before with no issues. This time service was not what I expected. Our waiter took our order and didn't see him till I complained to someone. Our food was brought by different individuals. He saw us eating didn't ask if everything was good. No refills on our drinks until I asked. Asked for our check 3 different times. When checking out he acknowledge that service wasn't the greatest and that they were really busy.
This is my favorite restaurant and normally I would let little things slide, but our valentines dinner was a mess. We had awful service, our waitress took our drink order and then disappeared for over 45 minutes. Our sushi arrived cold when it is normally a hot dish due to the crispy rice and we only interacted with food runners or other servers that noticed there was a problem. Our entrees then arrived and were underwhelming. I order the same dishes inside or to go around once a week and the chicken dish we had was noticeably burnt. I didn't want to make a scene or call someone over I know I will be back but they deserve a negative review on this occasion.
It's very unfortunate the experience me and my boyfriend had on Valentine's Day. We came for New Year's Eve and had the best experience. Firstly, it took almost 20 min to get asked for a beverage meanwhile others were getting served within 5 minutes once they were seated. We did not who our server was and we did not have anyone come to ask how things were or if we needed anything. They took my boyfriend's fork, he asked for a new one and he never got one. We asked for steamed rice initially and never got it. We had to ask a random server for it because no one was coming to our table. Not sure when we'll be back.
Service was great, food was even better, and the restaurant was bright from all the windows yet dark and colorful in its decor. Would recommend.

It was our first time visiting Panda Inn and sad to say it was disappointing. Our server Pekae was very inattentive, slow and albeit rude. From the moment we sat down we were rushed in our drink selection and weren't given a chance to order appetizers. When our server did come around she did not interact with us in a pleasant manner. She would move in and around the table without consideration for us. We really just felt in the way which is crazy when you're paying for such expensive food and service. The food was good for the most part but it was hard to enjoy when you feel like you're a burden instead of a guest. Wish I had better things to say but I would think twice before visiting Panda Inn.

This review is specifically about the new Omakase Experience at the sushi bar at Panda Inn. I grew up in the area and have been eating Panda Inn for decades. Their new renovation is gorgeous and the addition of the sushi bar is super exciting, especially knowing that the owner has a love of Japanese culture and cuisine from his time living there.
I have to say this omakase experience was one of my favorites in LA especially at this price point. Elsewhere, you'd pay at least double for this quality. They are thoughtfully crafting their menu based on seasonal fish from Japan and the sushi chef is doing amazing work. Between the fish selection, cut, and expertly seasoned rice, each piece was perfectly crafted. It's like you're transported to a completely different place that specializes in high quality sushi but you still get the friendly, casual, local Panda Inn service and it gets capped off with the iconic fortune cookie to send you off.
I have a deep love for this restaurant so it was extra meaningful to see this new omakase executed so successfully. I will be back for every seasonal iteration.
