My husband and I chose Parkway Grill for our Valentine’s celebration, expecting a high-quality dining experience consistent with its reputation and pricing. Unfortunately, the evening fell far short of acceptable standards.
When the bread appetizer arrived, I had already eaten it before noticing a small hair underneath the bread. While concerning, I chose not to say anything at the time since I had already finished it.
When our main course arrived—ribeye and wagyu steaks with fries and scalloped potatoes—we discovered a foreign object in the fries that appeared to be a ball of hair with dark specks. This time, we documented it and immediately notified staff. Our waiter suggested it looked like a piece of a kitchen cleaning sponge, which was alarming in itself.
The manager apologized and offered to remove the cost of the sides (bread and fries), which felt inadequate given the severity of the issue and the overall cost of the meal. I was so uncomfortable and disgusted that I left half my entrée uneaten and declined taking any leftovers. Replacing the fries or offering a free dessert did not address the larger concern of food safety and quality control.
We still paid nearly $200 for a meal I could not finish or enjoy. I work in public health and take food handling and consumer safety VERY seriously, so this experience was particularly disappointing.
I expect far better from an establishment at this level…

This is always a nice restaurant, however the ribeye was disappointing, the meat was not as tender as it should be. The rest of the meal was fine, with the best dish being the slice of chocolate cake that the restaurant offered as a birthday cake.

We have been going to Parkway Grill for decades and it hasn't lost a step. All the dishes that we had were interesting combinations and were prepared expertly. Several of us had steaks and the sea bass and all the meats were incredible. We had the lobster risotto, the bread basket and all of our sides for the table which worked out really well. The portions are large enough to allow all of us to have plenty. The service was exceptional. Everything we asked for was provided happily. We couldn't have been happier!!

Our dinner at Parkway Grill was exceptional. My husband is in a wheelchair and they accommodated us beautifully with a lovely table near the entrance to the dining room. Our server Eddie could not have been more accommodating. Eddie brought samples of two different Cabernets so I could decide which one my husband and I preferred. He timed each course beautifully. The petite fillets were perfectly prepared and the au gratin potatoes absolutely delicious. Everything about the evening was first class. From our wine to my birthday dessert. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.

My first time visiting and it did not disappoint. First, we were pressed for time and was at Houstons but the wait was too long. We called here and they said they had a table for two that we could have but they needed it by 8 PM. We were minutes away and were seated right away and had wonderful service by Chris. The food was awesome. I had the Ragu pasta bollanise my friend had the shrimp scampi pizza. They were both excellent. Flavorful, fresh and hot. We were able to complete our meal and make it to s jazz venue we were going to very timely. Thank you Parkway Grill. Oh, and the valet service was excellent also.

It's been awhile since I have been in and the food did not live up to my expectations. I felt as though the scallops were over cooked and the lobster mashed potatoes did not add anything. Honestly, we'd just eaten at Bone Kettle the night before and their flavors were phenomenal. Service and atmosphere outstanding.

Everyone in our family party enjoyed their steaks, which was impressive. All the steaks were 20yrs+ aged. Service was great on refilling hot waters to more. $8 valet takes credit card or cash. I think this steakhouse is worth revisiting for our family.
My senior dad who is pretty picky with his steak, actually ate all of his. Forgot what he got but he like how tender it was. The SO thought his 40day NY Steak was decent but nothing that great. Rest of the party thought it was good. None of the bread was dairy-free. Many ppl in our party enjoyed the bread with raisins.
The reason we picked this place was due to being in Pasadena, not overly loud like other places, and decent. Also, they surprisingly had a last minute cancellation dinner reservation a week before. Bare in mind, this is the Saturday before Xmas so it's a busy night. A family member works in the area and tried all the steakhouses for work, and tried this place to RSVP.
