This place is a gem! I had Pozole, which was delicious and not greasy. The amount the serve is perfect. My husband had the Chile Reyeno and was also delicious. The salsa they give for the chips is good, so im guessing that the green chilaquiles are good. If you haven't been you need to.

Food was great, but the staff were even better. The ladies there couldn’t have been friendlier. I came in from The Valley, had no idea where to eat and chose this based on the reviews and proximity to my destination. I’m so glad I did! Will be going back when I go that way again!

The woman working there was incredibly friendly and even apologetic that they were out of ingredients for the Chile Relleno. Was suggested the spot by someone I did work for in the area, was not dissapointed! The tacos were amazing and affordable! 3 Tacos with some chips for under $10. will come back when in the area!

These guys have the best carnitas i have ever tasted, their service is fast and they're never too busy (at least around lunchtime). I've been working in the area and I get their carnitas tacos almost every day. The women who work here are so kind and they made my time working in Altadena really special!

Salsa Picante Restaurant is a delicious place to have authentic Mexican food. We had a delicious savory dinner that included shredded beef and fish tacos, a carnitas burrito and a tasty chile relleno. Not clearly visible but a nice place to enjoy a great meal.
