Very disappointed!!!! Being National Burger Day, I thought I'd get a cheeseburger from Pie & Burger. When my order was placed, I specifically said NO LETTUCE, (I'm allergic to iceberg lettuce) and asked for extra grilled onions. I got back to my office to eat my burger and it had a huge mound of lettuce and no grilled onion. To spend $18.00 for a cheeseburger & fries, it better be done right, well it wasn’t!!! The entire menu is way over priced! Even a single grilled cheese sandwich costs $15.00. My suggestion, go to In-N-Out Burger, they get it right every time!

Amazing burgers in charming old fashioned diner. Even the veggie burger is killer! Fries, onion rings, potato salad all delicious as well. You’ll have to queue on weekends for breakfast/lunch, but it moves fast! Weeknights are pretty quiet

To keep it simple, they do pies and burgers that taste absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend this place for anybody looking for the good old American comfort food classics in the Pasadena area. Pricing is a bit higher than other similar establishments but more than makes up for it with the generous portions. The atmosphere still looks unchanged from when they first opened in the 1970s. Be sure to bring cash if you want to avoid the ATM fee in the diner as they do not take card.

What a Gem. Local Diner in the heart of Pasadena. Just like the name, Pies and Burgers are the main attractions. Homemade pies and cakes are the bomb. We had the Hamburger combo, burgers with all the fixings and a side of your choice. They have many choices on pies and served with a generous serving of vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream. We ahead the strawberry pie with whipped cream. Not overly sweet on both and the crust was crispy and fluffy. Sit at the counter which runs along the entire restaurant or few tables along the walls. Services were excellent and very attentive.

I have been going to Pin 'n Burger since 1969. My uncle would take me and cousin when my cousin and I were 9 year old kids. We would sit at the bar and eat the burgers and laughed at my uncles jokes. We did this for many years. I have taken my friend and girlfriend through the years. I was there today with my wife, son and his wife. The burger was as I remember it. They say it's the best burger in town, but they are wrong, it's the best I've had any where. It's simple it's great and the pies... find out for yourself. Pie 'n Burger will not disappoint.

It's the best burger in Los Angeles, full stop. It's expensive. A double cheeseburger will set you back over $20. It's about the size of a Burger King double whopper, which these days will set you back $13, so for a $10 markup or so, the jump in quality is worth it. The fries need to be commended. I'm not sure they double fry them, but they sure taste like it because it's a perfect crisp. The pie is top tier, even the crust, and I'm not a pie crust fan. The owner grew up eating the strawberry pie here before buying it, so I feel like special attention is paid to this slice, and it's probably about as good as it gets. Alongside it, you need a slice of boysenberry pie. A local California cultivar, this berry makes for an incredible pie filling with bursts of blackberry sweet that turns very slightly sour. It's a flavor profile unique to this berry, and unique to the area. Finally, Pie n Burger has a classic soda fountain on hand. You haven't had soda properly until you've had it here. Make sure to try the vanilla and chocolate Coke. You won't order soda anywhere again after trying it this way.
Parking: Plenty of parking, but worse comes to worse, probably nobody is going to nab you for parking at Pavilions and walking over if you don't make it super obvious. Best way to do it is to walk through the Starbucks in the samw lot which exits out to the street.

If you are in the area and need a burger, this is the place. Wide selection of fruit and cream pies. Cash Only! This is a small place with tables bolted to the floor. Long counter. Not for big groups. A very local and loyal clientele. A step above in and out, but with pie!

Highly overrated. Service was..horrible! How long can it take to get 2 pieces of pie at the counter? 23 minutes! And that's after waiting 15 minutes to place the order! Lemon meringue was watery and was either old or warm. Pecan pie was ok but certainly not special. Next time, we are spending our calories at the "I Like Pie" bakery.
