A Tiny Bakery with Big Flavor
Tucked away in the heart of Pasadena, a quaint little bakery is making waves with its delectable sandwiches and refreshing beverages. Despite its modest size, this gem offers a culinary experience that's anything but ordinary.
A Sandwich Sensation:
Indulge in their signature sandwich, a hearty and flavorful creation that's perfect for sharing. At around $13, you'll receive three generous half-sandwiches, making it an affordable and satisfying meal for two.
A Matcha Marvel:
For a refreshing pick-me-up, try their mango matcha. This delightful blend is not overly sweet, striking the perfect balance of fruity and earthy flavors.
Convenient Dining:
While the bakery doesn't offer lots of indoor seating, you can easily enjoy your meal outdoors. Simply find a spot on the nearby street, pay the meter, and savor the deliciousness.

Been coming to pillow talk for a little bit over 3 years, personally I didn’t find their sandwiches as appealing as others mentioned, but I do like their tiramisu, however I do feel they prices their desserts kinda high.

Salty Orio tastes normal, but the pork floss’s cake is super hard.

Honeycomb latte doesn’t have honeycomb. It’s just 100% melted sugar with some baking soda.

Pillow Talk made it on my list of places to try while I’m in Pasadena for work.

The egg sandwiches and chiffon cakes caught my eye and they didn’t disappoint!

I ordered the Egg Heaven, which was egg salad and chives with a hard boiled egg sandwiched in between lightly toasted bread. It was delicious!

To satisfy my sweet tooth, I opted for the Pink Lover chiffon cake which was a perfect blend of raspberry jelly and lychee mousse topped with fresh raspberries. It was nice, blend of berry and lychee flavor, very fluffy and not too sweet.

While I was bummed that they didn’t have the sunny side up, which was a mango and coconut medley, the Pink Lover made up for it.

The vibe was cute. I would definitely recommend for a really good Japanese style egg sandwich & unique dessert options from the black sesame chiffon cake topped with edible gold to the Taro Ube chiffon cake.

The egg heaven sandwich was so delicious. Fresh and flavorful—would definitely recommend. The desserts also look great but we didn’t try. I was happy to see a dirty matcha on the menu as it’s my favorite drink. Unfortunately this one was genuinely so bad. I ended up having to throw it out. Tasted super watery with no discernible coffee or matcha flavor. The espresso we ordered was also very watery. Not sure what’s going on as I believe they serve counter culture beans.

This freaking oat honey latte was amazing... glorious, wonderful! I made a vow not to buy any sort of coffee at a shop unless it was something unique that I couldn't easily make at home, which is why I jumped at this latte with honeycomb in it. It started out so smooth and perfectly creamy with just the right sweetness. The honeycomb melts and continues to sweeten the drink as it sits in the drink. In the end, it was a little sweeter than I generally liked, but it was still really good. The chocolate moouse strawberry cake was lovely as well. Anytime I'm in the area, I'll be stopping by grabbing a coffee!

Pillow Talk is a dessert-focused restaurant that delights with its creative and beautifully crafted sweet treats. Among the dishes I tried, the "Pink Lover" stood out with its delicate layers of raspberry jelly, lychee mousse, rose mousse, and chiffon cake, all topped with fresh raspberries. It’s not only visually appealing but also offers a refreshing and well-balanced mix of flavors.

The "Taro" dessert was another highlight, featuring layers of smooth taro mousse, light chantilly cream, and ube chiffon cake. This combination provided a unique taste that was both rich and satisfying.

For a beverage, I tried the Ube Latte, which is a cold blend of ube, espresso, and milk. This drink was surprisingly refreshing, with the earthy flavor of ube blending perfectly with the robust espresso, creating a creamy and indulgent experience.

I sampled the Okonomiyaki, a savory option at this dessert-centric spot. It was a flavorful Japanese pancake with bacon, egg, and cabbage, topped with mayonnaise and dashi. This dish provided a nice contrast to the sweeter offerings and was deliciously satisfying.

Overall, Pillow Talk provides a wonderful experience for those looking to indulge in unique desserts and drinks, all served in a charming setting that enhances the overall enjoyment of the meal.

I haven't tried the egg sandwiches yet but the lattes are delicious, the coffee is not bitter at all and even tastes good without any sweetener. That being said the honeycomb latte is FIRE, my personal go to whenever i'm nearby.

A very cute little dessert shop. It is very suitable for internet celebrities to check in and take photos. It is very creative to put cakes in iron boxes. The average price is around 10 knives

It looked like a very cozy café. However, the furniture is very basic and uninviting. The cakes look delicious and taste uniquely good. The sandwiches are cute and are perfect for a light meal. The latte was just mediocre. A big turn off point is that they do not let guests use the restroom. There is a big sign on the bathroom that says “No Public restroom”. I have two problems with that. It is unethical to deny restroom access with those prices; and secondly, it is unhygienic to have finger food but guests are unable to wash their hands before eating.

Super cute desert shop on South Lake! We ordered a bunch of their little tin cakes to go for a birthday party and they were a hit! I love that they come in their own little individual tins, they're so cute!

They are Japanese sponge like cakes, so they're not very sweet and they have the perfect spongy texture.

I'll definitely come back to try more!

Parking: You can park in the street or there's a free lot behind the dry cleaners just south of them.

Loved the sandwich and the latte was tasty and strong. I was able to chill and check my emails at a nice sunny table. Will come back for their dessert cups!
