I apologize if this is not the typical review I write, but when something like this happens, I like to share it so people can see who is behind the restaurant and what their characters are.John is a man of integrity and honesty. He trusts his employees and run his business with respect. I used to frequent Pizza Man when I lived closer, and their thin crust pizza has always been my favorite. There was an issue today when I ordered via Grubhub (first time), John called me on the phone after, he was very open and honest about the issues with the third-party system and shared with me challenges on their side and what could've potentially happened. They delivered the pizza, I couldn't find the pizza no matter how hard I tried. I am a person who I believes strongly in morals and values. He trusted me and his employees, he took the fall for it and wished me a good day. That didn't sit well with me, that a business owner of such character was punished for something that they most likely didn't do. It was never my intention to cause trouble for a local restaurant by asking Grubhub's customer support, I simply couldn't find my pizza (I'm still not sure where it went) and just wanted to know what to do next. So I drove to Pizza Man, asked for John, and handed him the $20 for the pizza. John was adamant on not taking the $20 and instead ask that I simply come again next time (in person or call via phone) to buy another Pizza from them. He trusted me and he knew things like this could've happened, he refused many many times and he told me that he can tell I was being honest and wasn't someone who was just trying to cheat the system. I felt the same, I would much rather give the $20 and keep an honest local restaurant going (regardless of how small a $20 is) than to see one with such morals close someday. I put the $20 on the counter and backed away. He was still adamant but I insisted. He finally caved and gave a small smile from the exhausting day he had at the restaurant, he thanked me and asked me to come back soon. I smiled back, told him I will, and left.I will definitely visit again soon John! Only this time, I'll make sure to order directly from the Pizza Man website hahaTake care!

Don't go here. The service was terrible. When i walked in there was no one at the front. I had to call for someone twice before a person came out to take our order. He got our order wrong and we were the only customers in the restaurant. There were flies everywhere. The pizza was ok.

I visited Pasadena on another pretense and then lunch time rolled around and I found my favorite "pizza man". So fresh and delectable. I found me this great spot when I am visiting pasadena. I am excited to say in addition that they have the sports channel on and at a very nice volume and one can view two games at once. Loved my visit and I can't wait for another excuse to stop by and have their fresh food. Check them out it totally is home away from home!?

Great pizza! Very overpriced. Incredibly rude and incompetent staff. No menus. No pen to sign credit card slip. No napkins. Pizza left sitting without telling us it was ready even though we were 6 feet from the counter, BUT heckled loudly by staff for not tipping.And the place is filthy. Dirt everywhere. Toppings at room temperature for hours. Food handled with bare hands with no hand washing at all - Same person answers phone, takes orders and makes food.Don't eat here unless you are truly desperate.

I have been ordering at this location for many years. The man who answers the phone and takes the orders is VERY RUDE! He has NO people skills! I have been putting up with HIS RUDE service for years because the food is delicious. Plus the inconvenience of having to repeat my card information EVERYTIME I ordered.I know he must think I am an idiot because it "BOTHERS" him when I ask questions! One day I made the mistake to ask him what he liked on the menu, he cuts me off, "EVERYTHING IS GOOD!.. OK!... EVERYTHING... IS... GOOD!" Talk about building rapport with the customer.I have worked in this profession many years ago. Area leaders ordered management to keep me on the register just because out of all the cashiers, I always had the highest scores on mystery shops. "I SIMPLY did my job." One area leader even went into her purse and gave me free meal vouchers for how often I was recognized. Believe it if you want, I don't care! I worked as a cashier in a fast food establishment for me to know THIS man's customer service is in the gutter!This last experience left an overall bad taste. I got upset! Finally on such day, my card information went throught on the first attempt! By this point, MY ANGER HAD GAINED MOMENTUM! I DID NOT enjoy the food. I'VE HAD IT! There are other business I can go to were the food is not as good but they make an effort service. It has finally come to this for me to leave a review! I hope any unsuspecting person wanting to order from this place can read this WARNING so they can get a heads up by the man's UNPROFESSIONAL service.I DO NOT want your apologies or free food. The man clearly is NOT HAPPY working in the position he is in answering the phone and taking orders. He LOVES distributing HIS MISERY on the people SUSTAINING the business. I would like very much nothing better than for this man to be transferred to a different job task where he will be as happy as a clown doing something he WILL ACTUALLY enjoy other than dealing with customers.*Update on your response*May your customers see for themselves your performance on customer service etiquette. I’ve never been to a business where the employee or the owner talked me out of giving them business, but tonight was an exception. I initially called to order 2 pizza but was told No Phone Orders. So I walked there to be told there was a 45min wait which was manageable. After waiting for 10min to order the same employee/owner told me 1hr & 50min would be the wait….No thanks!!!

Ordered a large supreme pizza with extra mushrooms today with regular crust.The pizza was pretty good. Crust is thinner than other pizza places I've been to but this is what I prefer. Marinara sauce was seasoned just right and not overly salty.Pizza hit the spot. I'm happy. Would definitely order from again.
