Place is great for italian food lovers, staff is very friendly and food is excellent. If you work around area is great for lunch, order over phone and pick up. They also do catering for your special ocassion.

Porta Via catered a meal for us for 40 people. The food was fantastic! All our guests raved about it. And the staff set everything up for us and were so helpful. We would absolutely hire them again.

Stopped by for lunch with a couple of coworkers the other day. It’s a small, charming shop that specializes in sandwiches, but they also sell a variety of Italian pantry items like pasta, sauces, sodas, and other imported goods. Definitely worth browsing while you wait.

I ordered the Artisan Salami Sandwich with a side of macaroni salad. The sandwich was really solid. The fresh mozzarella added a nice creaminess and kept everything moist. The macaroni salad was just okay for me. It was a bit too mayo-heavy, though the olives and pickles helped balance it out. I also tried their 7-layer dessert bar, which was rich and tasty, although a little on the sweet side.

There’s a nice shaded outdoor seating area if you want to dine in, which makes it a pleasant lunch option on a nice day. It does get busy during the lunch rush, so ordering online ahead of time is a good idea.

The only downside is that it feels a little pricey for what you get, but overall it’s a solid sandwich spot with good vibes and quality ingredients.

Just noticed while waiting on my order, a worker stepped on the counter (where blender is) to write on the chalk board. Her shoe was touching the bag that had food in…. I didn’t see any, but looks like that’s where all the drinks will be prepared. Wonder if they can invest in a tall ladder to avoid this. She wiped the counter afterwords… she also wiped other places with the same rug…

I have been coming here for years. The Thursday sandwich special is my favorite, Turkey on baguette with other deliciousness that makes it perfect. Next, I like to get two meatballs warmed and plated with marinara sauce to eat there.
One of these days, we will plan out our Hollywood Bowl trip far enough in advance and pick up one of their Pinic Basket options. Something to look forward to trying!

This place has saved the day for so many short-on-time dinners! The quality, from antipasti, to lunchtime sandwiches, to frozen house-made pastas, never lets us down. Somehow they have managed to consistently have friendly, helpful staff year after year, too!

*Their turkey meatballs are our favorite to take home and heat for pasta dishes or sandwiches. Mmmm

This place is amazing, a nice little marketplace, deli, and restaurant all in one. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have so many different things, huge selection for food, drinks, and snacks. A few indoor seats and a large outdoor patio. The panini I got was toasted to perfection and delicious. Overall really great place for lunch.
