This is a little shop located near the Pasadena Hilton. It's tucked away between a conference center and the actual hotel. Strangely, it offers lots of Korean inspired items like bulgogi bowls and Soon tofu soup. However, there are also potato salad and American hot dogs and spam musubi items. To top it off, smoothies and coffee drinks can be made here. I can understand why this shop might considered a one-stop-shop being in a hotel and all, and having to appeal to the masses.. but I would prefer a store that specializes in one cuisine really well. Prices are higher than I'd like, considering you're mostly paying for convenience. I ordered a Philly cheese steak, it had no peppers. It had m onions (which were not that caramelized), cheese, and steak. The sandwich was small and it was $10. It tasted good, but I've had much better sandwiches with a lot more inside for that same price. I wouldn't order from here again.

Wow. Was not expecting such delicious bulgogi and kimchi from this unassuming office building deli. I was staying at the adjoining Hilton and found it extremely convenient to pop over. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend. Ignore the low ratings from years ago.

I'm leaving a stellar review as I eat my order. I came here for lunch during my work conference. Located inside between an office building and Hilton Pasadena, I stumbled upon a cute deli serving sandwiches, pho, hot dogs and yes, Korean Food! I did not think twice to order a Beef Bulgogi bowl for approximately $16 (including tax). Their bowls can be ordered with rice or salad and your choice of protein (according to their menu). It comes with white rice, seasoned lettuce, sauteed onions, green onions and shredded cabbage. It typically comes with cucumbers, but I specified to have that omitted (since I am allergic to cucumbers). According to the owner, orders take approximately 10 minutes until they're ready. 10 minutes later, my order was ready. When I took my first bite, I was assured that I made the right decision to get my lunch here today. The beef was perfectly marinated and tender. The bulgogi sauce was not overwhelming and blended well with the rice and other mentioned vegetables. It was perfectly proportioned and it met my expectations. I highly encourage all visitors (and locals) to try Pumpernickel Deli's Korean Food!

Great little hidden gem between the hotel lobby and the office building next door. Very good breakfast burrito at a great price. Especially when compared to the hotel food steps away! Support small business! I will be grabbing some more breakfast or lunch when I'm in the area for work again.

This place is great. Ive taught a food safety course in the hotel where it's located once a month for many years and am always happy with what I get here. I also recommend to my students to try it out. Sometimes the service is a little slow but keep in mind that they are usually getting slammed with a bunch of conference goers around lunch so plan accordingly.

I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I love how the customer service is always awesome and they keep the place clean consistently. Rates are reasonable and they serve generous portions.

A classic example of why I'm glad I don't use Yelp alone before eating at places. Was recommended the coffee at this place by a co worker, and tried it out - after checking in was surprised by the low rating. Great coffee, and the lady let me use my own mug. Even though my YETI mug was massive and at least 2.5 larges, she offered to charge me for only 1 large and 1 medium. Very friendly and a mean French roast. Expansive breakfast offerings too. Go here, ignore the rating!

Can't believe we found Pumpernickel deli hidden in the Hilton on Los Robles after so many years...since the late 90's when my friend and I worked at a business on Colorado Blvd! Very patient and courteous help in ordering (I had alot of questions) and it resulted in my hot dog sandwich being delicious, grilled perfectly! They even had ginger ale! It was a perfect, quiet, clean and tasty experience.

Not many options unless you are willing to walk to Paseo on Colorado Blvd or along Green Street. At least the place takes credit card.

This place advertises "Since 1972".they may have the name since 1972 but it is NOT the same place! My family & I used to go to the Pumpernickel when the original owners first opened on Colorado Bl & Los Robles, we went every other Friday & several times in between. When you wild in, you could smell the breads, the aroma of fresh meats. Not anymore! Thy served sandwiches & boxed lunched, nothing else, the menu now is all over the place. Very disappointing & I haven't talked about the sandwiches now. which is another disappointment. I would not return. Skimpy sandwiches, no customer service, nothing like the old Pumpernickel, who used to be friendly & welcoming, & made a great sandwich!
