When I came back from Japan, I was searching for a decent ramen place. This is it.
Always fresh hot steaming ramen. I like the noodles they use. Thinner, like angel hair. Solid every time I come here.

Line up outside during busy times to wait for a table, but no longer than 20min.

Food was good but not the best ramen I had. The broth was flavorful, but it was unfiltered and small pieces of bones and cartilage would be in your dish.
Totally normal but I would expect a restaurant to do a better job and skimming the broth. The toppings were of good quality, especially the braised pork.

We waited in line for 20 minutes, the place was packed when we arrived and packed when we left. Our order was mixed up, so we ended up waiting a bit more.

It was a good ramen but maybe not worth the wait in the rain.
2 ramens and 2 Mexican cokes 55$ plus tip.

This place always has a line, and I don't get why. It was fine, but certainly can find better options a short drive away. It's a great neighborhood spot for ramen tho and worth trying.

Disappointing treatment. I never come to Pasadena and a friend told me about this place so I spent 20 min looking for a parking space and me and my son walked in and they told me to go wait outside in a very dismissive manner and I did notice while I was inside there were several employees tables and so we went out side and waited around 15 min and then another lady came out and told me to move and I wasn’t standing in the right place to wait. I just decided to leave and take my money elsewhere. I don’t know who these people think they are.

I came here in a Saturday evening. There was a short line. Waited 10 min. The place is nicely lit.
Me and my daughter ordered the same thing. Crispy spicy Chashu wraps and KOKU TONKOTSU. THE TAMEN IS GOOD. ITS DELICIOUS.
I took a pic to show I finished the whole thing bit because I was hungry , but because it was good. I have to come back to try more. But they won’t disappoint you. My daughter approved this review too. The wraps are tasty. They’re small. Just for one person. Get 2 orders of you like them. This is one of the best ramen in LA county.

Probably the best tonkotsu ramen in greater Los Angeles area. Broth is rich and flavorful, meat is tender and delicious. Maybe the noodles can be better, and having the egg as default. Overall, highly recommended.

Decided to come stop by here for my break because my co worker was raving good things about this place ( we also work in downtown Pasadena), and i was not happy with our service. The lady that had taken our order was rude and then another server who was wearing this large gray and white headband was very rude making faces the second I asked for a diet coke almost like I interrupted her. The food is good but without excellent welcoming service especially since I work at a restaurant as well, this was very disappointing to receive.

We’ve been loyal patrons for years, visiting dozens of times with many friends from our group. Unfortunately, tonight will be our last. The new server we encountered was shockingly rude. When we politely requested a booth, we watched as he instead began seating parties who arrived after us at booths. When we inquired why he said their party sizes of 3 & 5 were greater than ours, followed by his dismissive response of, ‘I can’t please everybody.’ Such behavior reflects a lack of professionalism and courtesy that we’ve never experienced here before. It’s disappointing that, after countless positive interactions with the always-friendly staff, one server’s shocking mannerisms could sour our night out. Sadly, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. Where a 40-minute wait won’t end in being treated like second-class guests due to party size.

Busy as expected on a friday night in Old Town. Lots of families and babies like this place. Lining up even though there were plenty bench seats empty. Ramen and Gyoza were done right. Deco is clean and simple and the center tree makes it unique.

Excellent ramen. The garlic oil and quality of the chashu bring an already 5/5 bowl of ramen to the next level.
Definitely give it a try sometime.
