Alex was a consummate professional; courteous, considerate, and prompt - 10/10 would recommend, based on his service alone - Thabk you, Alex!
I didn’t go to the original, but honestly — doesn’t matter.
The Pasadena spot was great. The donuts are exactly what you want them to be: no gimmicks, just really good. The glazed was light and warm, the maple bar hit the spot, and the chocolate frosted was somehow better than I expected.
There’s just nothing else like Randy’s. It’s simple, but done right. And that’s kind of the magic.
Helpful friendly staff
THIS IS AN UPDATE!: 5/17/2025 walked back into Randy's donuts on Lake Ave, in Pasadena to give this place a second go at. Took one of my Older lady friends back to a Financial advisor on Lake Ave. In Pasadena and looked across the street at the local businesses and remembered the first crack I have it last week and decided to go again. Gentleman behind the counter that helped me seemed a little skeptical of me? I guess cause I walked in wearing square black shades and a Raider's cap? At any rate slowly warmed up to recommending their Butter crumb raised round donut. Recommending after telling him I had a Chocolate Twist the first time, asking him what he recommended me trying? He also advised me to eating over a napkin or plate saying it would be kinda messy. And let me tell you what, if you like cinnamon sugar donuts? And you never had a Randy's Butter crumb raised donut?!! YOU'RE MISSING OUT!! That's all I have to say besides being a reviewer I enjoy a great donut in moderation. these donuts My goodness! and let me tell you, delicious! For each one may tell a different story,.judge for yourself and be a frequent participating visitor. So for record folks if you have never experienced a Butter crumb raised donut Randy's donut please do. Looks like I found Randy's Donuts my new home go to place for a donut when desired. For now this is Chuy Viramontes signing off from Alhambra,/San Gabriel where I call home, with Respect, representing the S.G.V. / SAN GABRIEL=SG1, Sneekis1 sneeking this one in. Orale
Mango Mayhem. Accept no substitute.
Easy pick up
First time to Randy’s Donuts and they didn’t disappoint! Excellent selection of donuts, even my favorite cronut! The Bear Claw had a yummy apple filling, apple fritter was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfectly seasoned with cinnamon and chunks of apple.
Blueberry was like a blueberry muffin. All were excellent and fresh. The coffee was good, nothing special but a good solid cup of coffee.
The croissant breakfast sandwich was a little surprising with sun dried tomatoes.
Friendly service, we had a nice conversation with our server. There was no line so we were served immediately.
There is plenty of free parking in the back.
It is very small inside, and basically only seating available out front.
It was good to try another State's Donut in CA.

I think the donuts here are great, but the hallway is narrow and cramped. I wish they would hurry up and finish the outside seating area for some fresh air and donuts.

Used to be very good but when we ordered here recently, it feels like the donuts are a few days old. Not as good as when we used to order here a few years ago. We live in Victorville now so we can't order here as often as we wanted to, but I guess now that's a good thing.
Even if you heat the donuts up, it will still be hard as a rock on the 3rd day. Used to last for weeks and still is good, but not the case anymore. Cost cutting maybe?
This is what the literal translation of the Bible of "When someone throws you a rock, throw them a bread in return", this is the bread you throw if you want to do harm to someone.

Randys makes some of the best donuts you can find in LA - definitely in my top five donut shops in the city.

Stoked! I just found out there was a Randy's outside of Los Angeles.
They call maple bars "maple Long Johns", but they are the same as maple bars. They are solid, just silly name, you should get one or a bacon maple "Long John". You won't be disappointed.
They are open during construction, you just have to go in the back door.

The biggest selection of donuts I have ever seen. The donuts are assorted into price tiers, and every one I have tried so far has been great. There is a donut for everyone and I see people walking around with a Randy’s box of donuts all the time. When they first opened there was always a line because they are so famous.
