Above all, incredible coffee served by kind and joyful baristas. The layout of the place is great for reading, studying, and catching up with friends. There's plenty of long bench and high table top seating. The music selection was enjoyable indie rock; seemed like the day time vibe was chill and intellectual but not at all obnoxious. And, guess what? It's also a shared space with a brewery. Overall it's a really nice place to share a table with shy people and have excellent coffee. A really wonderful place.

Nice place but they let three people breathe on my food before the person who prepared it put it in an open box. I ordered a large iced americano with a splash of almond milk , lavender syrup for flavor and foam on the top. Charged me 13. Plus an avocado toast, I got a regular hot coffee and the server walked to three different tables before looking at whose order it was and then putting it in a box that was opened and I had to close. I gave the name Elsa. A different name because most people get my real name misspelled or wrong. That is not uncommon. These people were rude rude to black people and I don’t see many black folks in that establishment. When a place has a good reputation and environment you see all kinds of people. But one that puts in a facade and fake people everything looks like it’s a good atmosphere. Looks are deceiving and one star to this establishment 😞 this is the same coffee that I got everyone else is showing hearts I don’t get it. Who receives the gold treatment and who doesn’t 🧐

Had a cortado and the veggie breakfast burrito, and both were great!

Love that there’s lots of parking and that the space is so big. Only came for the coffee side of things, not the bar portion of the space, but I would happily come back!

I’ve been a regular at Rosebud for many years, and have generally enjoyed my weekly visits, but my growing annoyance with their increasing prices and average quality leads me to finally write this review.

To give credit where credit is due the atmosphere, amount of parking, and connected brewery are awesome. The location is fantastic, and the staff are nice enough.

That said - my wife and I have, for the last few years, always received our drinks and remarked at how decidedly average they are. The matcha isn’t great, the cold brew tastes diluted, and the lattes are okay. The pastries are generally decent, but for a $7.50 hazelnut croissant I except to be wowed. They are not made in house, and it could be their supplier up-charging them, but as the end consumer I find that leaving a coffee shop having spent ~$15 on a coffee and pastry should be a pretty much pristine experience.

Do I love Rosebud’s ethos and background! Absolutely, but in a city with several fantastic coffee shops at similar or more reasonable prices I feel like they have lost their focus or grasp on reality.

About what you'd expect. Standard modern coffee shop.

Not a good place to work or study - Although this place is advertised as a great place to work. If you are looking to use a laptop it is not for you. Most of the tables are labeled laptop free zones, but those are the only ones with access to the outlets that prompted the previous high scoring reviews. Many of the tables were empty, so we asked if we could switch the signs to leave the same number of laptop free tables but have access to power and were told we could not.

Although the coffee here is good, we will not be back due to this policy and the inflexibiliry, which is sad because we would really like to be customers.

Reply to Owner response: We like the overall policy, and we understand it. Our frustration was that the empty laptop allowed tables did not have access to power, while the laptop free ones did. Most tables were empty, so we just wanted to use the power outlet while preserving the same amount of laptop free zones/ tables/ seating and ensuring the policy could still be upheld - and not pushing back against the policy either, just think people should be aware since the other reviews advertise this as a great work location and that was specifically why we came

Also, our work schedules do not allow us to be customers during the week

I stopped in for a latte. I had 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 rose iced latte. It was delicious. This is a great place to get some work done as they have food and lots of tables. I didn't order any food

Service was not friendly, and it wasn't the most comfortable place to sit. Drinks were okay. Nothing to write home about.

Based on the taste of their coffee and pastry. Although the pastry was this or that at noon; it was tasty. But, the other side of the coin was not so great. Service and interaction were stuck in a black hole somewhere. Stay off your phones! Please ?
As I mentioned before, "the coffee tastes great," but it was a big disappointment at the end of the cup. I may be allergic to coffee, but regardless, nobody wants to see or drink grinds in their coffee.
All that being said: I definitely will return again....
