The food was excellent! My friends and I got the “like a boss” and there was plenty to share. The meat was so tasty and the sides were bomb. I’m definitely coming back! It was so good and I am so full! The cornbread is legit with honey butter. Also, the cook came out and talked to us which is cool.

Arrived mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Unexpectedly in Pasadena; thought I'd take advantage. Looked for nearby places with good ratings.
It seems one worker was there, also manning the cash register, serving as waiter, ducking back into kitchen area. Three people were there when I arrived and three other groups, two large and one guy back second day in a row it seems.
Food came out piping hot within 10 mins of ordering. You know, like when you microwave it. The half chicken looked dry and stale but can't say it was, just not rich barbecue. The beans were super bland, the piping hot mac 'n cheese was tasteless, if you can believe it. I left half of everything, except a big slice of bread, which was stale and hard; I didn't eat that. And the cornbread, which was the best part of the meal, which I ate most of, but which did not strike me as homemade.
Hate to give negative reviews to small businesses (only reaaon for two stars), but the experience was not good. The worker was good, checked in with me, and was doing amazing, all things considered. And everyone there seemingly had been there before. So, it might just be me.

We’re always looking for great BBQ in LA. Recently tried Moo’s Craft BBQ. Gave it a 4.0 due to no chicken, rough neighborhood, and higher prices. We discovered SmokeHouse Social yesterday and really enjoyed the ribs, chicken and excellent sides at fair prices. Easy access in South Pasadena and easy parking. We’re life-long BBQ fans and put this newly opened spot as the best LA BbQ we’ve had to date. Give it a try!!

Incredibly impressed. They have the tastiest BBQ baked beans I have honestly ever eaten.
Liquid sugar used to sweeten their (unsweetened) tea makes the biggest difference, and they use just the right amount.

Literally the best BBQ to date in my 33 years of time on this Earth. It laps the competition in Los Angeles and gives the South a run for its money as top BBQ in the world.
Brisket was immaculate and Ribs were perfectly spiced. The quality of the smoke and meats is mouth wateringly good.
Zuckerberg could come here to learn how to smoke these meats and upgrade his sweet baby rays to their homemade BBQ sauces. The spicy sauce is great. The coleslaw and and baked beans with Smokey bacon in it was something you could enjoy on its own as a reason to come here but altogether? Come on. Nothing in LA comes even close.
This place is a sleeper in this strip mall center. Don’t let the modesty deter you from trying it though. That would be your loss. My only fear is that this place will become too popular and get an LA hipster line around the corner soon. Glad I got here before ya’ll turn it into a instagram famous place.

This BBQ restaurant delivers outstanding flavor and quality across the menu. The meats are tender, smoky, and cooked to perfection, with rich seasoning and just the right amount of sauce. Sides are hearty and flavorful, complementing the barbecue perfectly. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything tastes fresh and homemade. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, this spot consistently delivers delicious, satisfying BBQ.

Came here for a much-needed post-work feast with a group of 5; and yes, we absolutely ordered the El Jefe Platter even though it feeds about 10. After the shift we had? We deserved it. 😂
We swapped half the toast for the Blue Masa Cornbread and OMG… that was the best decision of the night. The cornbread with their butter? I’m still thinking about it. Next time I’m subbing all of it for cornbread, no hesitation.
The platter comes with 5 sides, and we went all in:
• Coleslaw
• Potato Salad
• Mac & Cheese
• Loaded Baked Potato
• Baked Beans w/ Bacon
Every single one hit the spot, Dangerous.
We also added a Brisket Chopped Cheese Sandwich it was super flavorful with the perfect meat-to-cheese ratio. I definitely need to try the rest of their sandwiches next time. And the Tacos Dorados (Brisket) were SO crispy and so flavorful. I could easily eat a whole tray by myself.
All the meats had a great cook and smoky BBQ flavor, and their house sauces take everything up a level. The spicy one is chef’s kiss but it does sneak up on you with a kick 🔥.
They’re tucked into a small plaza with a fair amount of parking, plus some street parking nearby.
We ordered:
• El Jefe Platter
• Brisket Chopped Cheese Sandwich
• Tacos Dorados (Brisket)
Sides: Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Mac & Cheese, Loaded Baked Potato, Baked Beans w/ Bacon
Definitely a spot I’ll be back, I need more of that cornbread in my life!

I'm a Texas rancher's daughter, so my bar for BBQ is very high, and this restaurant was a very happy suprise!
We used to go to Dickey's when it was in this location, and it was just meh. But Smokehouse Social BBQ was WOW!!
I'll admit to not having very high hopes because I expected to smell the BBQ from outside, or at least inside, and I didn't smell ever really smell it. I've learned that a lot of the neighbors to BBQ joints insist of mitigation of the smell, so that may be what's going on here. I can't imagine objecting to the smell of BBQ, but this isn't Texas, so who knows.
I placed my order for a baked potato with all the fixin's and added brisket on top.
Man, oh man! That was the best BBQ baked potato I've ever had, and I've had a bunch. The meat was perfectly cooked, the potato was amply-sized, and the BBQ sauce (which can make or break a place) was out-of-this-world fantastic in my book. I'm going back tomorrow because I haven't been able to get it out of my mind.

The place has really good food. I loved my pulled pork. And my wife said she thought chicken sandwich was the best sh had had.
We went for lunch and were a little shocked that it was as expensive as it is, since we is in a kinda funky strip mall and we expected something a little more “meh” but after eating there we totally got it. They are clearly cooking BBQ with love. I will be back and look forward to diving into the menu a bit.
